What scripture does it say Jesus was a carpenter?

I am reading the new testament and don't remember reading about that part of Jesus's life.

I don't recall it being made clear in any of the four accounts.
However, it wasn't very unusual at the time for a son to join his father's profession. ( Yes, the Lord is His Father, but you know what I mean.) It is very likely that Yeshua was raised as a carpenter.
The current canon doesn't speak very much about the first three decades of His life on Earth. I don't know of any documents (canon or no) recording Him going in the direction of a different career prior to His "mission years". Did you have something in mind?

No you just always hear about it and I just read the four gospels over the weekend and don't remember reading about it is all and thought I missed it.

  • Mark 6:3. "Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?'' And they were offended at Him.[/*:m:9088a]
