Journaling through the Bible

I have heard it quite a few times on the radio (Moody Bible Radio) that one of the best ways to read the Bible is to journal through it.

I have never been one for taking notes or doing journals. To be honest I don't really know how to take notes effectively or even how to really write a journal, especially a journal that involves the Bible.

Does anyone have any ideas or tips that could help to start journaling through the Bible?

First none of us will ever exhaust the word of God as we are ever learning through His Spirit teaching us all things we need to know, John 14:26. Everyone has their own way of studying and the important thing is to understand and gain knowledge of what you are reading so you can come into all truths by allowing the Holy Spirit teach you as you read. For me I take a verse at a time and gain whatever knowledge I can before I go to the next verse as this way I gain all understanding of the chapter I am studying.

Some learned scholars will take notes to reference back to when certain topics come up for discussion as others will revert to using a concordance for scriptural backup. It does not matter if you keep journals or notes, but know for a surety of what you are teaching others, or what others are teaching you is truth or error as each one of us will have to give account unto Christ of what we learned or what we have taught others whether it giving or receiving truth or error, 1John 4:1-4; 1Peter 4:11; Rev 22:18, 19.
