Bible Study Judge Not Les Ye Be Judged Explained

Sometimes believer only quote "Judge not les ye be judged" as an excuse not to judge at all, but when read in context, Jesus is warning believers not to be hypocritical when judging or correcting others but be sure to lead by example also.

Matthew 7:1Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

We can see that Jesus teaches us to correct those brothers when caught in a trespass or have gone astray.

Matthew 18:11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. 12 How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? 13 And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. 14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. 16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

So when a brother refuses to repent even before the witness of the whole church to confirm the word to his correction & to his rebuke, the church is to excommunicate him until he does repent.

So obviously Jesus wants us to judge in correcting one another, just as long we are not being hypocritical about it if we are presently doing the same thing. Repent first and then you are able to correct others without hypocrisy.

We have scriptures for our edification and correction.

2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

We have other believers that uses the scripture for the Lord to achieve that end.

Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: 16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

And we have the Holy Spirit in us Whom Jesus Christ minister through to us to help us see the truth in His words.

1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. 20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. 21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.......

So believers need a reminder of this truth to apply our faith in Jesus Christ for His help as our Good Shepherd & Friend in following Him.

Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

So that is why we are not to judged or condemn any believer as not saved or not a Christian when any believer goes astray, but rather correct them by scripture since they already know the gospel and thus that foundation laid by Jesus Christ remains as that seal of adoption does ( Ephesians 4:30 ), but that iniquity on that foundation needs to be repented of and thus removed with the help of Christ. 1 John 3:3,8 & 2 Timothy 4:18

It is in meekness and gentleness in correcting & edifying others is why we hope in Jesus Christ that He is peradventuring to recover some from any snare of the devil. 2 Timothy 2:24-26

Imagine this . We are climbing the tower of truth .
And we see a brother or sister suddenly slip and start to fall
a fall which we know is certain death if they hit bottom .
now visualize this . What would you do .
Would you say hey man they are saved and all is well
OR would you see the danger they are in and try and do everything
to save that person from that slip that has began .

I personally don't think there is a human alive that can judge the salvation of another. Salvation comes from God and Him alone but we can judge what is sinful based on what God has taught us through His Holy Scriptures.

Paul wrote that letter to the romans . Just as he wrote both letters
to the corinthians . I bet you know paul never thought of himself as highly .

When there will be a weeping and gnashing of teeth over the loss of that first inheritance as they can never get that back again after the door to the Marriage Supper is shut at the rapture event for why the voice of the bridegroom and the bride will no longer be heard in fallen "Babylon" Revelation 18:21-24 and they will get measures of stripes per the knowledge for not being ready per Luke 12:40-49, there is nothing user friendly about it.

Yes, death will come when left behind but their spirits will be with the Lord but under that altar in Heaven, waiting for their resurrection after the great tribulation.

If you consider how much grief they will be suffering for being left behind, it will be no small thing. Imagine Christ at the cross when He had experienced that separation from the Father for taking our sins upon Himself and how creation reflected that cost our Creator was doing for how the light went out from the sun & the moon for 3 hours.

I had a dream as a tot that I was in Heaven beholding the beauty in God's Temple. I heard voices of my family calling for my attention to come back. I saw others behind hem calling me to come back in grief and terrible screaming. Then Jesus appeared and showed me the book of my future adult sins if I should go back. I was grieved by those sins and I did not want to be separated from Jesus. Doing that, my family and others were heard screaming all the more thus causing me grief more because I did not want to leave Him. Then Jesus said "I'll see what I can do.." and I was sent back.

I do not recall when or if that dream was connected to 2 events when I had almost died. The one I think that it was related to was after having that nightmare, I had awakened to when I discovered I was being strangled by my own bed sheets. I had asked God to save me in my thoughts, but to no avail as I gave up trying to breath and collapsed. Upon relaxing, I found that I could breath a little bit and so used that while untying that knot around my throat as he ends of the bed sheets were on either side of me over the edge of the bed. I managed to get free thanks to the Lord, but looking back and with that nightmare, and yes... how my life turned out; I did those adult sins for which the Lord did rescue me from them and is keeping me from it, crappy as my life is, I wished He had not sent me back or saved me that night, if it was that night.

There was another close call when I had collapsed from having an allergic reaction to wet grass. My first "asthma" attack sent me to the hospital, but I did not remember anything after that collapse other than thinking that I was going to the Lord. Not sure if that dream/nightmare had happened then or not.

Anyway the point of sharing that nightmare was how I was wracked with grief in not wanting to be separated from Jesus. I wanted to stay there in that Temple of the Lord in Heaven in beholding the beauty of the Lord. The irony is all I recall is that beautiful light, but maybe being in this flesh is why I cannot recall anything else but that and how I was feeling about being there with the Lord in that Temple.

That is not a grief I care to feel again as I hope in Him as my Friend and Good Shepherd to help me continue to abide in Him as all my hopes is in Him is for that.

So I hope the Lord will lead you to change your testimony that you are saved because that is how you & I can tell others the Good News that Jesus Christ IS our Savior.

It is from there we teach and warn saved believers about being His disciples in living that reconciled relationship with God thru Jesus Christ to be fruitful and to have their joy full or else .... suffer stripes for not being ready and a separation of being left behind which is extreme grief that God will have to wipe tears from their eyes to get over that loss of that inheritance of being partakers of the first fruits of the resurrection & that grief as a result.

There is no user friendly thing about being left behind to die. Believers need to look to Him to help them discern lies from the truth & for help in departing from iniquity, trusting Him to do this daily in laying aside every weight sin for abiding in Him.

There is no other way to run that race other than as saved believers. We need Him nus and with us always as saved so we can run that race by looking to Him daily.

When there will be a weeping and gnashing of teeth over the loss of that first inheritance as they can never get that back again after the door to the Marriage Supper is shut at the rapture event for why the voice of the bridegroom and the bride will no longer be heard in fallen "Babylon" Revelation 18:21-24 and they will get measures of stripes per the knowledge for not being ready per Luke 12:40-49, there is nothing user friendly about it.

Yes, death will come when left behind but their spirits will be with the Lord but under that altar in Heaven, waiting for their resurrection after the great tribulation.

If you consider how much grief they will be suffering for being left behind, it will be no small thing. Imagine Christ at the cross when He had experienced that separation from the Father for taking our sins upon Himself and how creation reflected that cost our Creator was doing for how the light went out from the sun & the moon for 3 hours.

I had a dream as a tot that I was in Heaven beholding the beauty in God's Temple. I heard voices of my family calling for my attention to come back. I saw others behind hem calling me to come back in grief and terrible screaming. Then Jesus appeared and showed me the book of my future adult sins if I should go back. I was grieved by those sins and I did not want to be separated from Jesus. Doing that, my family and others were heard screaming all the more thus causing me grief more because I did not want to leave Him. Then Jesus said "I'll see what I can do.." and I was sent back.

I do not recall when or if that dream was connected to 2 events when I had almost died. The one I think that it was related to was after having that nightmare, I had awakened to when I discovered I was being strangled by my own bed sheets. I had asked God to save me in my thoughts, but to no avail as I gave up trying to breath and collapsed. Upon relaxing, I found that I could breath a little bit and so used that while untying that knot around my throat as he ends of the bed sheets were on either side of me over the edge of the bed. I managed to get free thanks to the Lord, but looking back and with that nightmare, and yes... how my life turned out; I did those adult sins for which the Lord did rescue me from them and is keeping me from it, crappy as my life is, I wished He had not sent me back or saved me that night, if it was that night.

There was another close call when I had collapsed from having an allergic reaction to wet grass. My first "asthma" attack sent me to the hospital, but I did not remember anything after that collapse other than thinking that I was going to the Lord. Not sure if that dream/nightmare had happened then or not.

Anyway the point of sharing that nightmare was how I was wracked with grief in not wanting to be separated from Jesus. I wanted to stay there in that Temple of the Lord in Heaven in beholding the beauty of the Lord. The weeping are from those unrepentant saints & former believers doing the weeping that gets left behind over the loss of not being partakers of the firstfruits of the resurrection.

But I do agree that saved believers that have gone astray need to be corrected and warned about the consequence of not looking to Jesus Christ for help in repenting in that they can reap corruption, lose the rewards of crowns and be left behind as castaways aka reprobates aka disqualified to attend the Marriage Supper in Heaven. Getting stripes for the knowledge they had for not being ready & lesser stripes for not having knowledge for not being ready is no picnic either. Luke 12:40-49 & John 15:1-8

But God will judge a church and each unrepentant believer with death in according to their works when cast into the bed of the great tribulation per Revelation 2:18-25

I personally don't think there is a human alive that can judge the salvation of another. Salvation comes from God and Him alone but we can judge what is sinful based on what God has taught us through His Holy Scriptures.

Unfortunately, church history has Christians executing Christians for being heretics. Even John Calvin supported an execution of a heretic. One can hope he had repented before his deathbed because of this truth from Jesus Christ; John 16:1-3 Otherwise, he may get left behind to be resurrected after the great tribulation, but I leave that to God.

Even those that have gone astray and get left behind are still saved. That is why we are not to judge any one as not a brother or not a Chrisian or not saved, but rather judge as in correct by the scripture what is on that foundation as an iniquity for why that carnal believer or that former believer has gone astray.

So yeah.. we cannot judge as in condemn any believer or even a former believer as not saved or never a Christian, but because they are believers or they had believed in Him and are still saved for why He still abides in them.

2 Timothy 2:18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. 19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. 21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

2 Timothy 2:10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. 11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: 12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: 13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

This is why there is hope for them as He still abides to correct them because God may be peradventuring to recover them from the snare of the devil.

2 Timothy 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
