just a drug addict seeking jesus

This is day one of my journey to sobriety. I've been reading the book radical and other online things trying to seek a better life and my drug use is in the way. People say you'll know when jesus speaks to you and I definately want that but haven't experienced that. Pray for my long tough journey.

Welcome to the forum! :wave

Here's a promise from God for you:

Proverbs 8:17 (KJV)
I love them that love Me; and those that seek Me early shall find Me.

Welcome!!!!!

Day one? Right-on, that's where it all begins with all of us . . . Day 1.

You haven't had the experience of Jesus speaking to you? You sure about that? You were led to this forum. Not just any forum, but a Christian one in which you are accepted, appreciated, and acknowledged (sounds sorta like something Jesus Himself does!)

That my friend is experiencing Jesus speaking to you!

I look forward to Day 2.

Be blessed, Stay blessed!

There was a day in my life when drugs and alcohol were all I cared about. My day 1 was 19 years ago and there are still tough days. If you know what to look for the scars are still on my arms and they are definitely on the hearts of those who love me and stood beside me through those years of my life. It is only by the grace of our Lord Jesus that we make it to day 2 and then to day 3 and then...

Keep on seeking and KEEP ON PRAYING!! On the good days-pray. On the bad days-pray a little harder. If I can do anything PM me. We'll be praying for you.
God bless, Westtexas

I must tell you, Jesus will save His People from their sins, I use to be a drug attic, God delivered me from a horrible pit. There was a time when I thought I would never leave drugs alone..

hey. I used to have drug issues, too. I think its common for Christians to have once had drug, alcohol, or other issues--as they used to say at my Christian rehab facility, "there's a God-sized hole in the human heart, and you used drugs to try to fill it."

Anyway, welcome to the forum, hopefully you'll get encouragement and advice as you put aside your old ways and begin the Christian walk.

Lord Jesus, by your Spirit and because of your great and awesome love, reveal yourself to this dear one seeking you and your abundant help...in Your strong name.
