Topic: Just because you are special

Highlights: For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.” Luke 19:10

You are special to heaven because you are important man and woman on earth. So, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in Jesus.

Many people here on earthe trying so hard to understand the ways of life. Only God understands life. It's too deep like the ocean and the more you dig the more you realize there's more not learned.

An obedient child is the favourite child of the father, though there are many children, the obedient one is regarded as reliable and dependable child. “If you love me, obey my commandments" John 14:15

God gave us life and we must regard him as His presence is around us to lead us when we need help. However, we look for solutions even in the midst of salvation. Have we ever revolve our lives around God like a father sitting in the sitting room whose children are all playing outside, goes to eat, sleep and repeat same thing without regarding their dad with respect.

You are special if you regard his presence, obey His commands and involve him in your life.

Let us pray:

Father of my life, I regard you as my father, forgive me all my mistakes and misunderstandings about life. From now on help me to heed to your presence, help me to obey your commands and help me to involve you in all my day to day life's activities. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

You are special to heaven because you are important man and woman on earth.

Really? Scripture indicates God loves me, not because I am special, not because I am worthy of His love, but because He is love. It's God's nature to love and so He loves me. I'm a sin-cursed, selfish, ignorant creature that has nothing whatever to offer God. This is true of all human beings. How incredible it is, then, that God deigns to look upon me at all, let alone send Christ to die for me! How amazing is His love! And how little I deserve it.

An obedient child is the favourite child of the father, though there are many children, the obedient one is regarded as reliable and dependable child.

But God commends His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son in to the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sin. (1 John 4:9-10)

God has no favorites, only vessels in and through whom He may work more or less; branches in Him that yield more, or less, fruit; sheep that stray less or more often. God loves us all perfectly; He is not human, having more love for some of His children and less for others. His love, you see, emanates from His own nature, not from something He sees in us.

You are special if you regard his presence, obey His commands and involve him in your life.

This is not what God says to us in His word. See above.

Be very careful, brother, what you think to teach to others. God will hold you especially accountable for what you assert concerning His truth. Don't get it wrong.

Based on Matthew 7:21

"Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."

And St Matthew 12:50

Whoever does what my Father in heaven wants is my brother and sister and mother."

In my opinion, people who obey God's commands are special to Him

Based on Matthew 7:21

"Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."

Okay. Does this verse say that God loves those who are obedient to Him more than He loves those who are not? Did Christ not die for the whole world? Yes, the Bible declares, he did. (John 3:16; 1 John 2:2) What greater love could God demonstrate to anyone than to die for them? Scripture says God did this for sinners, though, not saints.

Romans 5:8 (NASB)
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Matthew 7:21 indicates the eternal destination of those who do the will of God, but it doesn't assert anything about God loving more those who are obedient to Him. We can say that God is pleased with righteousness and rewards those who are obedient to His commands, as He does in the case of Matthew 7:21-23, but God loves sinners, which we all were before we were saved (Ephesians 2:1-3; Colossians 1:21; Titus 3:3). Thank God that He is loving God, His love coming from His own nature rather than from our ability to please Him. If it was up to us to please God before He loved us, we'd all be hopelessly under God's wrath and judgment.

And St Matthew 12:50

Whoever does what my Father in heaven wants is my brother and sister and mother."

In my opinion, people who obey God's commands are special to Him

Again, this verse doesn't say anything about God loving more those who obey and loving less - or not at all - those who don't. Matthew 12:50 speaks of the consequences of obedience to God, not His attitude toward sinners whom He loves.

Ephesians 2:1-6 (NASB)
1 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins,
2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.
3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.
4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

God loved those "dead in trespasses and sins," bound under the World, the Flesh and the devil, living in the lusts of their flesh, disobedient, and under God's holy wrath. In mercy and love, God reached out to these sinners, saving them and making them alive in Christ Jesus! How good and great is our God, full of love even for the wicked; not because they deserve His love, not because He approves of their wickedness or overlooks it, but because He is love.

1 John 4:8-10 (NASB)
8 The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
9 By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.
10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

As one who proposes to teach God's truth to others, your opinion doesn't matter. What matters is what God says - however awkward for our opinions what He says might be. And God's word is clear: He loves the sinner as well as the saint.

I vote for Tenchi take on Scripture.

Personal example: I am labeled with schizophrenia. Outcast. And yet…

Jesus saw fit to spare me then bring me to my senses forgive me and 10 years later…

I have been blessed in ways not terribly common among those with my past and my labels.

I lean socialist. It isn’t that I’m dead set on utopia it’s more socialism or barbarism. Those are the options. So…

With that inclination I want to go all liberation theology on my testimony. Jesus seems to restrain me more lately…

The Good News frees people from bondage. Many are anywhere from poor to average some are rich. Jesus is no respecter of persons.

Just for those who care to read. This is not to win points or to win anyone over.

Azariah went to Asa and said to him, "Listen to me, Asa and all you men from Judah and Benjamin. The LORD is with you when you are with him. If you will dedicate your lives to serving him, he will accept you. But if you abandon him, he will abandon you.

2 Chronicles 15:2

The gospel emanates from the message " Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand"

God loves the world and wants us to come to repentance by believing in Christ and forsaking our sins (traits of nature that is inconsistent with God's grace)

Christ died once as a priceless ritual for anyone who wants to repent and enter into God's love by using his redeeming blood which he shed for us (to find our way and be saved from evil. (Hebrews 9:28 says

so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Whoever is not redeemed may end up being tormented by deceit of the world and flesh under demonic control unless they believe and forsake their old system of life under demonic control; Revelation 12:9 & 11 says

Revelation 12:9 The huge serpent was thrown down. That ancient snake, named Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world, was thrown down to earth. Its angels were thrown down with it.

Revelation 12:11 They won the victory over him because of the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony. They didn't love their life so much that they refused to give it up.

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; Acts 3:19

The Bible says

Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness. Genesis 15:6 & Romans 4:3

For the Scriptures tell us, “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.”

Finally,

But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. John 4:23

God loves everyone but he He has Special interest in those who obey His commands
