Hi all,

Ok, now it's time for all good people of faith to sit down and write a letter to their lawmakers: NO BAN ON GAS STOVES. Seems that some government product safety office, whose directors and employers were there long before Pres. Biden took office, so don't go there, thinks that cooking with gas is dangerous for us. Now, I'd consider their argument, but really. They're thinking of banning gas stoves that maybe kill 17 people a year. The 17 comes from 'all deaths attributable to natural gas'. So, it could also have one or two hapless homeowners who blew themselves up installing their gas hot water heater or even maybe their gas home heat. Oh what are we to do????Sorry, I digress. So surely we should ban all gas appliances that kill 17 people a year, but let automobiles keep rolling along that kill 40,000/yr. I mean really, if the plan of all these laws against using things because someone might get killed, is to save everyone on the planet from accidental death---then the cars got to go first.

God bless,
Ted

Like I have always said they will use any excuse in the name of safety to take everything away from the people. Everytime I call it out no one seems to care.

So a couple people blow themselves up with gas each year so that's there excuse to ban gas and you suffer for it and go cold and hungry. They need an excuse for everything. Enjoy zee bugs.

How many people these days does it take to change a lightbulb?.

I don't know, I could ask a group of teenagers if they can change a lightbulb for me ( no power connected for safety reasons) and see if anyone acturally knows how. They maybe all look confused or need time to discuss it together and analise the situation.

You think of what they could do with a virus called covid in the name of safety and the complete control and restrictions over the masses. Think of what they can do in the name of saving the planet and everyones safety. Lol. Think covid was harsh.

If you have leaks with cng the scent they put in is meant for leak detection.methane and propane are naturally odorless.

Hi guys,

I absolutely agree that there are times that we carry this 'oh we're going to be like god and keep everyone alive forever' attitude is just a bit over the top. People die! People have always died. They die of old age, they die of disease and they die by accident or murderous intent. Personally, I'd much rather they work on saving the 20,000 people who truly die needlessly from gun violence...first. Let's figure out how to save all those thousands upon thousands of unnecessary deaths each year! and then we can worry about the 17 that die from the use of NG each year.

God bless,
Ted

850 sandpiper ,the building exploded, the cause a propane pilot light was lit with a leak that went for some time .no survivors ,the two tenants were killed

Right! You just aren't as likely to die from them.

God bless,
Ted
Death by. Knife or other object is still death .

And we'll in America with the southern porous border Plus ocean it's easy to get drugs, guns Will be coming in and likely already do.

Just as I'm not against drinking driving laws ,we have lost more to dui then the acts of gun violence to include suicide .

Hi jasonc
Look, I've been arguing this war for a number of years now. Your arguments don't stand up to reality. There are dozens of nations that have stricter firearms regulations than we have and they don't then have astronomically high deaths from other causes. It just isn't so, but hey, it sounds like a good argument. I get it! But I know the facts!

Japan, where people should be more crowded and more frustrated and more angry at one another than we are, has very strict firearms laws. Number of firearm's deaths in 2019...wait for it....here it comes...9. Yes, that's the single digit 9 people were killed by firearms in the whole of Japan in 2019. They are a reasonably happy and healthy group with a pretty strong economy, much like we are here in the States.

Now, I know, I know. Your argument is, "Well, if they don't have guns to kill each other with, than they'll just grab a knife or fly over them with a helicopter and chop their head off". I get it. Like I say, this isn't my first dance at this party.

Yes, Japan has mass stabbings, but to date there hasn't been a single one to kill even half as many as the greatest mass murder with a firearm in the U.S. And their stabbing or knife death total doesn't come anywhere close to making up the huge difference that would have to be made if your understanding were correct. So, fine. Go with what you believe, but a lot of the 'what if' scenarios that the gun lovers like to use to keep the rest of us in our place of fear, just don't really work out like they claim they might. There's actual living proof of it, but it has to be looked at by nation, not by city or state.

To limit firearms within a smaller subset of the whole, still allows the easy transfer of a firearm in an out of the restricted areas. Although, surprisingly, even this fairly worthless attempt does show some improvement in the numbers, when tried.

Now, Japan is certainly an extreme model. On the earth, as relates to firearm ownership and possession, the world pretty much covers the gamut from the extreme rules of Japan, to the fairly complete removal of rules in the U.S. However, even in that, we can see major changes in death counts as we look at the various nations and their gun regulations.

Sorry, but if it were up to me, we'd already have come to the part where the weapons would be smelted down into plowshares.

God bless,
Ted

If you were correct then all those knife bans are uncessary

They wouldn't even get them

In Japan you have no fourth amendment right .

Also in Japan and we'll isn't the Ukraine also arming it's citizens to fight Russia.

If the left says cops discriminately kill the the blacks then we'll better disarm the cops then

I already knew this and unlike you .I have been overseas and no ,we aren't no monolithuc In values with Europa

Cops in NYC ignored rioters who sinoly what burned ,not shot at cops by large and overwhelmed them with brutal force using makeshift weapons .ie Molotov cocktails then simply looted stores .

Trust them to keep me safe.?
No I know that the military curtains hun rights you can't keep your gun on post in your room it must be stored and yet sever incidences of mass shootings occured.

So no I refuse to think that will safe lives.

By your logic the left should rush to ban beer and guns .

No more dui.
Allow minora to drink in Germany at age 13 because yup they can .

Germany doesn't have a drinking problem like we do .

Correction Japans search and seizure law are a bit less restricted.

I wouldn't call being japanese like very good in govt .

Immigration, you can discriminate against all non japenese in jobs or rental .jobs are also limited my church has a missionary who lives in Japan .

Been there for decades and calls the govt fascist ,racist.

These are statements from jasonc , they are true or do you know otherwise miamited ?

Each country has its own culture and we'll Japan I know about you can't simply base our laws on others culture .
It doesn't always work .
Japan is or was also quite anti porn .you can't wear the bikini barista outfit there and not have cops visiting you .stories about the cops taking playboys from Japanese males because it is illegal .

Yet we can do these things here.the problems with that Is another thread and the state deciding what I can read or wear is another thread and no I'm not for antideceny .

Years ago cops ticketed women for too short skirts and bikini lines.

That wont fly .
