John 14:23 "Yahshua answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode (pitch His tent) with him.
14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me."
There are so many true Believers in Yahshua Jesus that pay little to nothing of the 1st Covenant (Old Testament) IMO, that's robbing Yahshua of the Glory that's found in the 1st Covenant, that He so wants you to learn about His unconditional love about His Children even though His Children are unfaithful at times.
Please remember that Yahshua Jesus wrote the 1st Covenant and was involved personally from Genesis One to Revelation 22. Many say that the Commands and sayings of Yahshua Jesus were saying in the above two verses were for the Jews only, NOT SO!....
John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim.
1:2 The same was in the beginning with Elohim.
1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men."
The greatest thing about the 1st Covenant IMO is Yahshua's loving instructions of how to be pleasing to Abba Father's loving instructions about the past and what pleases Elohim (Trinity) and what does not. The major difference from the 1st Covenant from the renewed Covenant (New Testament) is the plan of Salvation.
In the 1st Covenant, the Jews received righteousness by works of the Law. In the Renewed Covenant, righteousness is obtained thru trust and belief in Yahshua Jesus ONLY....
Faith Without Works Is Dead
James 2:14 "What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.
2:19 Thou believest that there is one Yahweh; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
My main point in this thread is to point out that IMO, there is no reason to to avoid the 1st Covenant (Old Testament), except for righteousness obtained thru works of the Law. The entire 1st Covenant includes YHWH's loving instructions of how to have victory over Satan and his traps. I have learned many wonderful truth's about how Yahshua Jesus responds to a variety of challenges brought on by Israel's enemies.
Remember Yahshua Jesus is the Author of the 1st Covenant by the Ruah ha'Qodesh (Holy Spirit). To disregard the !st Covenant is to disregard the Glory of Yahshua Jesus that is displayed in all His Commands, Sayings, Rules, Statues and loving instructions. To disregard the 1st Covenant, is to only know half of what Yahweh our Elohim thrills to present to His Children to have.
John 14:21 "He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
14:22 Judah saith unto him, not Iscariot, Master, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
14:23 Yahshua answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
14:25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
I love all my Brothers and Sisters here at CF.net and simply want you to be extremely blessed by studying Yahshua's entire Word, 1st Covenant and the Renewed Covenant....I am using the oldest Aramaic language so that you all will be blessed in knowing what Yahweh used in inscribing with His finger on the stone tablets, called Otiots, and gave them to Moses.
John 14:28 "Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
14:29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.
J4:30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
14:31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence."
Be blessed my friends.
