Keys to the Kingdom

I do see how faith is a key, as this does open the door who is Christ. Authority is a key we possess, too.

Abigail123 ,
Yes those are keys as well but if a believer does not find out who they are in Christ and learns how to use this authority then it is useless. The promises of God are given unto us for a reason. Many Christians cry out how come I do not see God moving in my life these days. Best thing to do is to look at their lives. God is moved by His word.
He is not moved by our words unless they are filled with HIS words and Faith.

He has done His part. He is always waiting on us to do our part and Give Him something to work with. A new believer will see and feel God in just about everything they do. Their prayers are answered easier and so forth BUT this only last for a season then God expects us to do what His word tells us to do. It comes a point in every believers life that he or she will have to follow through with His written word if they are to see victory in any area of their lives.

We can cyr out to God all night long saying ohhhh we need 20 dollars for the paper boy. Ohhhhhhh God if we dont get this 20 dollars the paper boy is going to stop our paper...We can go on and on and on and NOT inform God of a single thing. All we did was wine and lose sleep. Now then if we found a pomise of God that covered that need and prayed His word over that need and puty it in His hands, thenh we would see Him work. He may wake you up in the middle of ther night and direct you to an old coat you wore lasdt winter and there in the pocket isa 20 dollar bill that your forgot about.

It is simply using His word the way it was created to work.

Jim - Why do I say this ? Because when you are praying along these lines you find your self wondering if God wants me to have this or wants me to get this. You end up trying to convince God of your needs. This is always a struggle and prayers are to be done By Faith. Faith does not wonder or question but simply BELIEVES because it KNOWS.
Jim - Now think about this, you need better health, take your key that unlocks healing and put it into force.
Eugene - What if God does not want the thorn in your flesh removed?
Or does God really want Paul to take that beating, and all the other manner of suffering he endured? Would God really allow a man of faith to be imprisoned, be beheaded, hunger, etc., or is there the possibility Paul sought those things?

Dear brother, I wrote the item of speaking the words because of your following portion of your post.
Jim - Make a CHOICE to speak Gods words TOO.
- Any and all doubt words or fear words or unbelief words will hinder your prayers and hinder YOUR FAITH from bringing forth the RESULTS that you need. However here is a tip....if you catch your self then simply rebuke those words and SPEAK GODS WORD OVER IT and change the way you have been thinking.

Brother Eugene Hello,
The word does not say God wanted pauls thorn in his side to stay. He said my Grace is sufficient for thee.
Another words Paul you take care of it.Paul you use my word and remove this situation. You have my word and authority and you use it.

No place in the written word of God does it say God does not want us whole or healthy or healed nor does it say God wants this infirmity on you. Pauls adventures during his ministry or assignment from God were both good and bad and yet if you do not pay close attention you miss the example used. Paul learned to be Joyful in any situation and this does not mean excepting of the situation.

Acts 9:16 speaks of showing paul how much he will have to suffer for the name of Jesus.
The times were different. They did not have media and all this to blast away at ministries. They were in the habit of stoning people and crucifying and all sorts of flogging and such. It was their ways so why would not any man preaching the word then run into these situations.....

If Paul or Peter or any of them would have started complaining and blaming God they would have rotten in the first prisson they were thrown into. However scripture tells us they sang and prayed and dwelled in Joy. That is what moved God and sent the angel to release peter.

If you know what the will of God is in a situation and what His word says asbout that situation then you can pray with a confidence of Faith that He hears you and you will get what you pray for. His will is not for you be sick or in lack.

Good Morning Brother Eugene , :coffee
I wanted to make a quick reply to one part that you brought up.

Here is what I was talking about or refering to...
Hebrew word "dabar" means "word" or "talk" Is sometimes used in reference to the "Divine Word" or even "Word Event" I have learned that this is what one must do if they speak words that go against their words through faith and trusting God. If you do not have an understanding about words we speak in a biblical sense then this may be hard to see for some. You must put forth the word of God which is always going to be faith filled words to over come or make void the doubtful or any words oposed to the word of God.

Here is a thought........In John Jesus asked Peter 3 times do you love me. How many times did Peter deny Jesus ? 3 times......Now then Matthew 10:33 KJV.....But whosoever shall deny ME before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in Heaven.
Ok now Jesus has GOT to keep His word. He can not lie nor can He put forth His words and then not obey them.
Now Jesus Loved Peter so much and so Jesus did what I am talking about. He taught Peter the action of "Dabar"
When you speak a word that is contrary to the written word of God it must be cancled out or it will continue doing what it was loosed to do.

So how do you do this ? You speak the word of Dabar or speak the word of God over it. This is why Jesus asked Peter three times. Once for each denial. Look at Proverbs 18:21 The tongue has the power of life and death.
This includes every single word we speak. We are told to take out thoughts captive. Why is this ? Simply because if we just blurt out any old word it goes to work and it is either good or bad. We are told take no thought saying. How do you take a thought....you say or speak it. So here again shows the importance of the words we chose to speak.

This is only the tip of the ice burg brother Eugene. Jesus by getting Peter to speak three times that He loved Him cancled out the three deniels of Jesus and Jesus did not have to deny Peter before the Father. It is the very same purpose over our faith filled words. We stand in faith and trust in Gods word. Now if we speak words of doubt it quenches the faith filled words. This is a spiritual law.

I hope this helps you to see what I was saying.
Have a very wonderful day Brother Eugene
Blessings
Jim

Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
John 14:17
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

I John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The kingdom is within us. King Jesus needs to be inside to rule. Human anatomy (IMHO) shows a place to help the flesh, and a place to help the mind / spirit (spirit of mind).

OT II Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

OT puts responsibility on person to get the works of the law to operate.

NT God works inside us to accomplish the kingdom .

Law from Moses to John. Kingdom taught from John on.

Is this "name it, claim it" belief?

It's blab it and grab it. Name it and claim it was that other doctrine.

Jesus said, I give you keys to the Kingdom of Heaven. What you bind on earth, is bound in Heaven, what you loose on Earth, is Loosed In Heaven.

It two of you touch and "AGREE" on anything on earth, it's a done deal.

Kingdom means to rule over, have authority over or rule with God/ or have God's will and rule in your life as it is in Heaven.

Jesus just said it's now possible to get God's will in your life, His rule from Heaven to you here on Earth.

What you say here, Moves things up there, to help down here, that God's will be done on earth with you as it is in Heaven.

Blab it and Grab it:
Name it and claim it:

unfortunatly for many this is not a promise, it's just a spiritual law. Man has what He says, if man believes it. The condition Jesus gave is to belive in your heart, don't doubt and speak.

The tongue James says is like the rudder of a great ship, it will determine things in your life.

Hence why every Idle Word we speak, we have to give an account. Idle words (Non Active words in our heart) are spoken out of our belief system. If Junk is in there, junk comes out. We can't control it until we change what is in there.

To blab something or claim something, you have to believe it. That is the condtion.
That belief comes from the Heart (spirit) of a person. It's not head knowledge.

To rightfully claim a Lamborghini from God, you would have to have faith to do that.

To have faith for a Lamborghini, you would have needed to hear something from God about getting you one. No hearing, no faith and speaking it won't qualify you to get one without hearing, then faith.

Satan uses this principle against us. The only place he can get in our lives is through this means. He plants doubts, a ton of situations that have not yet occured and hope's you pick one to believe, speak and act on. Satan has to act in accordance with the Written Word, he has no new devices.

anyway.............. back to the dishes.

What are the keys of the kingdom?

Question: "What are the keys of the kingdom?"

Answer:
The biblical passage that makes reference to the “keys of the kingdom” isMatthew 16:19. Jesus had asked His disciples who people thought He was. After responding with several of the more popular opinions, Jesus aimed His question directly at His disciples. Peter, responding for the twelve, acknowledged Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the Living God. After this great confession, Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 16:17—19).

Keys are used to lock or unlock doors. The specific doors Jesus has in mind in this passage are the doors to theKingdom of Heaven. Jesus is laying the foundation of His church (Ephesians 2:20). The disciples will be the leaders of this new institution, and Jesus is giving them the authority to, as it were, open the doors to heaven and invite the world to enter. At this point it is important to understand how, biblically speaking, one enters the Kingdom of Heaven.

Jesus said that, unless one isborn again, he will not see the Kingdom of Heaven (John 3:3). One is born again as the Holy Spirit works through the Word of God to bring about new life in a dead sinner. The content of the message is the substitutionary death of Christ and His subsequent resurrection (Romans 10:9–10). So the faithful preaching of the gospel is the key to the kingdom.

InMatthew 16:19, Jesus is specifically addressing Peter, so it is significant that, in the book of Acts, Peter figures prominently in the “opening of doors” to three different groups of people so they can enter the Kingdom. InActs 2, it is Peter who preaches in Jerusalem on theDay of Pentecost; about three thousand Jewish people are saved that day. Peter’s preaching had “unlocked the door” of heaven for the Jews. Later, inActs 8, the Samaritans believe the gospel and receive the Holy Spirit; again, Peter (and John) was present for this event. Peter had “unlocked the door” for the Samaritans. Then, inActs 10, Peter brings the gospel to a Roman centurion’s household, and they, too, receive the Holy Spirit. Peter had “unlocked the door” for the Gentiles. The “keys” that Jesus had given him worked in each case.

Of course, keys can be used to lock doors as well as open them. Part of the gospel message is that faith is necessary. Without faith in Christ, the door to heaven is shut and barred (seeJohn 3:18). As the apostles preached the gospel, those who responded in faith and repentance were granted access to the Kingdom of Heaven; yet those who continued to harden their hearts and reject the gospel of God’s saving grace were shut out of the Kingdom (Acts 8:23).

The context ofMatthew 16also refers to a “binding and loosing.” To better understand this concept, we turn toMatthew 18:15–20, where Jesus gives the guidelines for church discipline, using the same “binding and loosing” language we find inMatthew 16. The apostles were not to usurp Christ’s authority over individual believers and their eternal destiny, but they were to exercise authority to discipline erring believers and, if necessary, excommunicate disobedient church members. Based on God’s Word, believers today can declare an unrepentant sinner to be unsaved (“bound”) and a repentant believer in Jesus Christ to be saved (“loosed”). The binding or loosing, based on one’s rejection or acceptance of the gospel, reflects heaven’s perspective on the matter. In heaven, Christ ratifies what is done in His name and in obedience to His Word on earth.

God’s will is that sinners be granted access to heaven through the righteousness of Christ. Consider Jesus’ warning to the Pharisees: “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. For you neither enter yourselves nor allow those who would enter to go in” (Matthew 23:13). If the gospel message is distorted or ignored, or if unrepentant sin is not adequately disciplined, the doors to the Kingdom of Heaven are being shut in people’s faces.

We can agree faith is required when offering prayers, because we know the one who doubts is tossed to and fro and is double minded.
What you have presented has a draw card, the world. In the world we have 1). Pleasures of the flesh 2). Desires of our eyes and 3) fame before man.

If you consider this, we can see this was the process that was used in the Garden with Eve. Those 3 were also applied to Jesus in the wilderness. Bread for hunger- pleasure, glory to himself- eye and proving His position - fame.
As believers we are to love not the world, if anyone shall love this world, the love of the Father is not in him.

This is but one reason I do not subscribe to this doctrine and with all that I ask the Lord to bless you with all His spiritual blessings

This is the only Biblical definition of the Kingdom of God i have found in scripture...

Rom 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

This tells us very plainly His Kingdom is about righteousness peace and joy ..
He is our righteousness our peace and joy..

Eph 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness
Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
Eph 2:14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;
Psa_105:43 And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:

The rock (bedrock) of the foundation is: Jesus is the Christ. The pebble of Peter is one of the foundation stones laid on that foundation (the apostles).

Not even to forget the twelve tribes of Israel are the gates to the New Jerusalem.

Revelation 21:10
And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

(The key here is God is establishing the Kingdom from heaven)

Revelation 21:11
Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

(Cornerstone Jesus)

Revelation 21:12
And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel.

(The gates are ancient)

Revelation 21:13
On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

(Out of everything building one new man)

We are the living stones; the plan laid out in heaven.

I left the Father out of the bedrock (lithos ?). Without understanding the Father Sent the Son, the understanding is just not complete.

The New Jerusalem is the spiritual city. The born again person sees there is no temple in the new Jerusalem. The jewels in the foundation stones (IMHO) are the Jewish rooted teachings of the New Testament. Without the kingdom teaching from John on, I have no hope (Jewish authors).

I know there is all sorts of doctrinal rubble from the middle wall that is broken down. Stepping across all the rubble takes us all holding hands out (to help each other get across the rubble). It is not about the wall, but the twain that are joined together.

If you slog through Mississippi swamps and briar patches long enough, you open the door for His help. Mosquitos and sweat sure drive you to something outside yourself. You have to digest the bacteria that helped digest the cellulose (clean animal study is strange).

I did not say world. Jesus did.

Mat 18:18-19 kjva 18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

In the world we also have an enemy set against us. Physical bodies, and need to do the plan of God, which at times is not cheap or materially possible under our own ability.

The thing bound in heaven is not God's
