King James only?

I had a good friend of mine cut off our relationship because she felt any other Bible than the KJV was corrupted. She wouldn't listen to any of the reasons as to why versions varied on particular passages. Her arguments were weak and illogical and way too emotionally based.
Such is the way with KJVOists. It really is worship of a Bible rather than the God of which it seeks to reveal.

Soooooo, you can read the hearts of those who prefer the KJV?

We are referring to KJVOnlyists, not those who simply prefer the KJV. I have no issue with those who prefer it, at all. Of course there are varying degrees of KJVOism, but the worst KJVOists, such as Gail Riplinger, use some of the most illogical, irrational arguments that I have ever come across.

I do not want to judge their hearts and say that they are in fact worshiping the Bible, but their arguments, and the fruit that results, leaves very little room for any other conclusion.

I reckon its our protestant/fundamentalist version of the Cult of Mary.

As i said it to @free,the question is what do you defend and why?..

Here's an idea:

Read whatever Bible translation draws you closer to the Lord and let others do the same. :readbible

What in heaven or on earth could possibly be wrong with that idea??? :chin

nothing, just that well satan hates that idea. there has to be somebody to argue which version is the holiest all the while sinner slide into hell.

To all that use multiple translations and or versions how do you decide?
What is your final authority?
