Paul starts his epistles with "Grace and peace from God our father, and from the lord Jesus Christ."
From this, I glean, grace and peace come from knowing God as father. It is my understanding that believers that know God as the omnipresent, or even omnipotent God of all creation, never fully come to grace and peace. There are many attributes and metaphors that describe God, but none as unique as that of fatherhood.
Matt. 11:27,
27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
These truths come by the revelation of the Christ within the believer.
The believer will never know who he/she is aside from knowing who Christ is, and who His Father is.
John 4:23,
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
True worshippers shall worship the Father. The Christ in you has an identity, and it is with the Father, the Father planted His seed in you as your only life, Gal. 2:20.
The words "I will never leave you" spoken by men have very little meaning, but when you hear your Father say "I will never leave you nor forsake you" there not just words. Oh the joy of knowing God as Father.
He did not say "as you perfect this religious thing" or "as you pay all your tithes right."
There are no prerequisites with your Father, He has either birthed you or He hasn't.
That is the good news, and it is religion that has turned it around to mean something totally opposite of what is written.
Thank God for His word, men can say and believe anything, but we have a written record that I suggest you read, stay before the lord, and wait on Him for yourself.
There are many voices today, there is still just "one still small voice."
