Because of the madness in the world it's hard to be safe anywhere. People meet the unexpected all of the time.
2Tm:3:1: This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
Why are these times so perilous? There are 18 reasons listed in the following verses.
2Tm:3:2: For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
2Tm:3:3: Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
2Tm:3:4: Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Tm:3:5: Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
So these eighteen(three sixes)reasons are given for the peril. Our faith is in danger unless we contend for it. Of course the fight died out awhile back for most Christian churches and they have sold out. That's why there are so many lukewarm Christians today, they've been led astray. What a pity that is.
I must say that I believe these are the most evil times in history. And that we are in grave danger indeed. The wolves have entered the churches and have not spared the flock.
May the Lord Jesus Christ bless us all with sight and wisdom and may His commandments guide our steps. Amen.
