Learning Islam from Muslims

Is this sarcasm I sense?

lol......

Start with Wikipedia.

Not as biased as most sites.

Start at the Quran. Read it.

Then move on to the Hadith.

One of the most respected Christian sites which has many well known authors is http://www.answering-islam.org

One of the ways is to focus on a particular writer. Some are more into the detail... others are more philosophical.

  • M. N. Anderson
    James Arlandson
    Rev. Richard P. Bailey
    Andy Bannister
    Dr. William Campbell
    Roland Clarke
    Rev. M. J. Fisher
    John Gilchrist
    Samuel Green
    Dr. Ernest Hahn

    Farooq Ibrahim
    Dawud Jabal
    Khaled
    Memsuah Mansoor
    Abu Miriam
    Gerhard Nehls
    Alano Perez
    Joel Richardson
    Dallas Roark
    Brahim Sene
    Sam Shamoun
    Silas

    Wail Taghlibi
    Anthony Wales
    Walid
    Wildcat
    David Wood

I have highlighted the ones which I would look at first.

James Arlandson http://www.answering-islam.org/Authors/ ... /index.htm - EXCELLENT material. Very readable.

John Gilchrist: The 3 books online are very good
(1) Facing the Muslim Challenge
(2) Sharing the Gospel with Muslims
(3) Jam' Al-Qur'an - The Codification of the Qur'an text
http://www.answering-islam.org/Gilchrist/index.html

Samuel Green http://www.answering-islam.org/Green/index.htm
Good stuff on women in Islam, satanic verses

Sam Shamoun http://www.answering-islam.org/Shamoun/index.htm
Excellent. Many articles; lots of detail

Silas http://www.answering-islam.org/Silas/index.htm
Great articles on Muhammad:
Muhammad's Questionable Actions:
Muhammad and the Rape of the Female Slaves
Muhammad and the Murder of Abu Afak
Muhammad and the Murder of Asma bint Marwan
The Deception and Murder of Kab al-Ashraf
Muhammad and the Death of Kinana
Muhammad and the Death of the Uraynians
Muhammad and the Killing of Apostates
Muhammad and the Meccan Ten
Muhammad and the Treaty of Hudaybiyya
Slavery in Islam
Muhammad's Spiritually etc

Enjoy!

Please ask if you need further help.

Nope. Just wanted to hear about it from those who believe it.

Gary, I've read the Qu'ran [Koran] and spoke with Muslims about their faith. The Hadith...that's where I'll go next.

Peace.

Bilal,

Thx for link.

It is hard to find Islam defense on google.

CHRISTIANITY - FUNDY THAT IS... RULES THE NET!

Osma is the best Muslims can do...

LOL... is that the best you can do?

Osama Abdallah does not represent orthodox Islam. Many of his articles propagate heretical ideas. Although Muslims usually try to present a united front against the Christians, in this case, there exist Muslim websites that caution against him, or even outright denounce his site. ...... In particular, since the beginning of 2004, there has developed a rather disgusting shouting match between Shahid b. Waheed and Osama Abdallah with each side trying to find an even greater insult for the other.

Osama is a real joke.

Dear Osama Abdallah,

The Answering-Islam Team would like to ask you to remove the following false-informative articles from your web site;

http://www.answering-christianity.com/death.htm
http://www.answering-christianity.com/by_the_sword.htm
http://www.answering-christianity.com/ntpoly.htm

It offends many Christians as it provides lies and false information. Thank you for your understanding.

Politely and respectfully yours,
The Answering-Islam Team

PS: Please do not decide to ignore our request and/or post this e-mail on your idiotic website. You will only make yourself look very stupid as we deny the whole incident.. especially if you post the PS along with it.
-------------------------------------------

Hilarious.... :smt082

On a more serious point, to the OP of this thread, i encourage you find out about Islam for yourself. Dont take my word for it, neither Gary's. Go to your unbiased sources, go to some Islamic websites, (http://www.islamworld.net/ for e.g.) and if pleaseth you go to Gary's beloved site, but also seek out the rebuttals to those claims.

Then use your Godgiven gift of intellectual reasoning and intelligence to evaluate these different sources...i hope you are led to the truth, i and hope falsehoods do not prevail over you.

:D

Oh and one more point, NOTE

Do not use the Quran Browser Gary has posted. Now why would a website of the Quran have links for tafseer (commentary) to answering-islams site (an Anti-Islamic site) if it isnt to further their own agenda? hmm....

Im sure Gary wouldnt mind you using another site, after all its the same Quran they all are talking about?

Heres a good one:

http://www.islamicity.com/QuranSearch/

The forgery

Yes, the e-mail is hilarious.... as the link below will show that the e-mail is a hoax.
http://www.answering-islam.org/Response ... fraud2.htm

Osama has been informed and shown that it is a hoax..... but like his "prophet", he allows deception to rule his site, thinking and responses.

Very sad. :sad

P.S. You have STILL not responded. Did Muhammad encourage his followers to deceive so that they may murder his opponents?

:-?

Neither me nor you will really know the truth about that. By any chance, are you part of their team? Although its funny how he says if the email is posted, it will be denied.

Back to the issue- let me ask you a question....do you believe it is absolutely wrong to lie (lie=deceive) under any circumstances whatsoever?

Yes it does have something to do with the discussion, and no im not side-tracking...

Deceiving goes with the religion

Back to the issue- let me ask you a question....do you believe it is absolutely wrong to lie (lie=deceive) under any circumstances whatsoever?

Muhammad deceived, Osama deceived. Do you?

The topic is on Jesus/Muhammad/Orange Alien Monsters, so dont bring in my personal character into it.

Simple question if you want a discussion on the relevant topic: do you believe it is absolutely wrong to lie (lie=deceive) under any circumstances whatsoever?

Are you capable of having a coherent discussion, or do you just copy/paste from sites and bugger people with irrevelant questions and use annoying smilies? Grow up. You can either move this discussion on by answering my question and elaborating, or you can stick to the usual 'Muhammad's a rapist. Are you? :o ' crap. Your choice.

Ethics... whould you deceive?

If you believe that it is acceptable to deceive... under what circumstances would you deceive? Is deception (under those circumstances) the only option? How do you ethically reconcile that deception?

:)

Just look at you squirming out of this- so you have thought about my question and you have realised its not as black and white as you think...

Deception? Take a look at the other thread where you have blatantly quoted verses from the Quran which arent there.

care to answer my question?

You realise that you have no answer to "Did Muhammad use deception to allow for the murder of his opponents?" ... so you try the ethical route.

The answer to the question which you keep avoiding is: YES. Muhammad DID allow deception so that his followers could silence (by murder) Muhammad's opponent.

Now try and justify this deception.... and the murder.

:) :)

Is SomaSite really a Christian?

Feel free to PM me SomaSite... I have a few questions to ask you as well.

Shabir Ally ... acting like Muhammad (deception)

JM said:
http://www.shabirally.com/debates.asp

Islamic debates by Shabir Ally.

Yes, if you want to see what Muslims are prepared to do for their god (Allah) and especially for their prophet Muhammad, Shabir Ally is a good place to start.

Seeking unfair advantage through hiding his identity:

"Abdul Abu Saffiyah" vs. Jay Smith (Birmingham, February 25, 1998)
http://www.answering-islam.org/Response ... unfair.htm

"Abdullah Al-Sadiq" vs. Mark Pickering (Birmingham, March 8, 2000)
http://www.answering-islam.org/Response ... honest.htm

It is very sad when (like Muhammad), a Muslim has to use deception to try and get an advantage.

There is still an open challenge to Shabir Ally. I wonder why he has never taken it up?

Lastly, see most of his major arguments against Christianity being debunked here:
http://www.answering-islam.org/Response ... index.html

It must be a very sad religion that has deception as its "best" defence!
