Learning Islam from Muslims

Deception?

ooooohhh...thats sweet?! How sweet coming from a Christian?!

Let your YES be YES and your NO be NO

The two religions are so different. Muhammad allows you to deceive. Muhammad himself allowed others to deceive so that they could kill Muhammad's opponents.

Jesus was and is the truth. There is no sin in him. He never sinned. He is the perfect example to follow. He had a very different message to Muhammad. Jesus said:

Jesus taught and Matthew said:
Oaths
"Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not break your oath, but keep the oaths you have made to the Lord.' But I tell you, Do not swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God's throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.

Matthew 5:33-37

How lame.. i thought you claim Jesus is God? how the hell can God sin? God isnt even bound by the laws that apply to us! It must be great to know that your God can die like a simple man.

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.

You are right. God cannot sin; nor did Jesus sin. Makes you think doesn't it?

Secondly, you are also right when you say that "it must be great to know that your God can die like a simple man"... it amazes me that you have that insight! I also find it great that Our Lord can identify with us; that He lived like us and amongst us.

John said:
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. JOHN 1:14

Read the link. Dont know what you expect me to get out of it.

It seems to me that a god that must transform part of him self into a man so that he can relate to him creations is a weak god indeed.

There could never be an eyewitness to Jesus living a life without sin. Someone may be around him a lot, and never notice him sin, but they can't witness his whole life and see that he never sinned at all. It is the same with the notion that Jesus died for the sin of the world. You could have an eyewitness to the death of Jesus, but it's impossible that someone could ever observe that it atoned for sin.

So the Bible authors were writing aboutâ€â€and your religion depends uponâ€â€things that no one could ever have witnessed. I guess you just have to trust that it's the inerrant word of God?

To Proceed

To the Original Poster, my piece of advise would be that whenever you learn from someone, muslim or christian, ask for how they derived to that view point on a matter, and then take time to asses it yourself.

I hope that does not sound patranising, just trying to share someting I try to do.

All the best in learning Islam if you choose to do so.

Peace be upon those who follow guidance,
