Are you ready for the rapture! If not then watch left behind (It has nicholas cage) it has thrills, it has spills, and a woman whos always in the right place at the wrong time. A movie heavy on spiritual innuendo, and completely brought to you by science.

I thought that foolishness was shoveled to the bottom of the manure pile decades ago. Now you younger kids are gonna go chasing after it too?

I love end time movies, they are fun.
 
I would for the subject matter but I stopped watching newer movies in the late 90's .I dont know how to put it but I guess the ambiance or general setting that the newer movies have just isn't entertaining for me.I like the older stuff that is a good movie because the acting of the actors.Thanks for the heads up though.I might see it when its on dvd.

Nothing wrong with entertainment based on fiction... as long as we continue to remember and understand that it IS fiction even if it's loosely based on SOME truth.

In fact, I think I just described much of today's news media! :lol

Well,yes the rapture is Biblical truth and the books and the movies just came from that as the authors thought it would play out.
 
Exactly, fiction based on some truth. That's what makes it entertaining as long as we remember that it's just that, entertainment. Doesn't always mean it can't turn out that way, but might not either (probably won't?). Afterall, Star Trek was a fiction show, but how much of that fiction has become reality today ("communicators" compared to today's cell phones or FRS radios for example.)

the idea of the cell phone came from star trek. the man who watched that show said we cant do that now , I will change that. we also have this for you to google, bussard ram scoop. it is workable for probes to use to power long flights.
 
I saw the movie in theaters. I have all the original books, too...well, one or two may be missing, IDK. I haven't read all of them, but plan to eventually. (I read the entire kids version of the series following a group of teenagers a long time ago.) I may not be sure what to believe about the end times anymore, but I enjoy reading fiction.

observation of matter.
what is faith?
Observance of spirit.

You mean fact not "science" science is just the method to prove something. Faith is yet to have a method to prove anything.
