Looking for Jesus according to Matthew

59) Looking for Jesus

Matthew 5: Jesus says that if our light is darkness, this darkness is really great!

- But light usually opposes to darkness!

- We can also remember that the devil can turn into an angel of light!

- So we must be careful!

- If it gets dark inside, it must become really hopeless!

- Think about the demons!

- They were angels!

- They chose to turn into demons and get away from God!

- When we are told about people possessed by demons, it appears so dark!

- They are just waiting for their time to be imprisoned!

- They don’t have any hope of a better future!

- Only darkness!

- What about men without hope?

- The same darkness!

60) Looking for Jesus

Matthew 5:

- Jesus says it is not possible to slave for two masters!

- It is not possible to slave for God and for Riches!

- We must make choices!

- We can’t follow God and human society!

- They have opposite goals!

- They have opposite directions!

- God is going to replace this corrupted society!

- The devil is the god of this society!

- We must make the right choice!

- We must prepare for God’s Kingdom!

- It will be completely different!

- Think about the Hebrews when they left Egypt!

- In fact, they never left Egypt!

- And they die in the desert!

- Bad end but logical one!

- May we remember what happened to Israel!

  1. Looking for Jesus

Matthew 6:

- Jesus tells us to stop being anxious about our lives and food and drink!
- Of course, the situation is getting more and more complicated
- So it is not always easy!
- There are many countries it is even worse!
- When there are natural catastrophes,it is even worse!
- But we must find the time for God!
- We must find the time to study the Bible and tell others about what we lea
- It must fill our minds and hearts!
- We must prepare for what is coming!

62) Looking for Jesus

Matthew 6:

- Jesus tells us to seek first the Kingdom!

- In fact, this human society has no future!

- We can see it every day more and more!

- There are more dark clouds!

- On the contrary, God's kingdom is the only future!

- If we prepare mentally it will be easier to do the transition!

- It will also be easier to get into it!

- A lot of work will be required!

- So we must be active now!

- We must do our parts now!

- To show God that we will be useful and not useless!

63) Looking for Jesus

Matthew 7:

- Jesus tells us not to judge so that we may not be judged according to the way we judge!

- In the Bible we are given many examples of what is good and bad!

- We are encourage to follow the good ones!

- And to get away from the bad ones!

- It is the same in our lives!

- But man is used to see with his eyes not with God's eyes!

- He often is influenced by what people say about others!

- A faithful servant of God doesn't do that!
