Hosea was a prophet of God in the Bible. His book is the first of the twelve Minor Prophets in the Old Testament. I was thinking more of twelve being used to represent the whole or the authority of whatsoever is in view in a parables.Twelve tribes, twelve loafs, twelve apostles ,twelve wells of water, twelve pillars etc

I would think if any division it would be from the old testaments prophets and new.The time of the first century reformation came.The end of KIngs in Israel a pagan foundation . Restoring the order of Judges prophets sent out with the gospel as apostles. . prophets men and women from all the nations of the world spoken of in Joel repeated in Acts.

The gospel explosion Jew and Gentile prophets declaring prophesying the good news as one Christian bride.

Acts 2: 15-17 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
