Anyone who watches Lost has got to acknowledge all of the Biblical inspiration for the show.
Good vs. Evil
Christian Shephard, Jacob, Aaron... this list of names goes on and on.
Each of the "Losties" are associated with a number. Jack Sheppard's number is 23. The 23rd Psalm?

Jacob who seems to be the "good" presence repeatedly tells people they have a choice and free will. He allows himself to die. MIB, on the other hand is the "bad" presence and offers to make people's wildest dreams come true if they only follow him. People who watch the show are at odds. Some think it will work out this way, while others feel they will pull a switcheroo an Jacob will end up as the bad force, but I don't think so.

There's an episode called 316 where Benjamin tells Jack about Thomas, his doubt of Jesus' resurrection. He ends up telling Jack "In the end, we all find out it's true."

I'm not going to go into all the references. It would take forever. And I'm just saying the producers (who are Jewish) are using it to tell a parallel to the Bible. And I'm sure ABC would not approve of anything Christian.

If you watch, you know. If you don't, you should. IMO

I love the show lost.

This weeks episode was brilliant. I will miss this show when it is gone.

I knew the Richard-centric episode would be great. All along, I've been saying, I can't wait for the Richard-centric episode! And it delivered even better than I thought. Very cool!

Hey, mjjcb! Blessings. Isn't Lost great! I can't believe all the Biblical references. I am so happy that a "mainstream" program like Lost is addressing these topics. I will await the end to see what the final moral of the show is, but even if it doesn't end with a Christian moral, at least people are now debating these issues. Great show.

LadyColleen!!! You took me up on my invitation to join these boards! I don't see that anyone else did. I'm so happy to see you here. I didn't see you introduce yourself on the New Member board. As much as I love the show and continue to check in on the Lost forum, I have much greater interest spending my time here.

The Christian threads on that board were great while they lasted, but they seemed to run their course. It's great to have you here as we have the show in common, but a much greater commonality in our faith.

I'm so glad you chose to get on board here!!!

Remains that best TV show that has ever been aired!!

I'm working through this series again with my son who's watching it for the first time, and I love it even more! I love seeing him with all the predictions he's making just as I made when I saw it for the first time.

We're in the middle of the 5th season, so the hype is really starting to build up for the showdown! Locke, Ben, Sawyer, Sayid, Richard, Jacob, MIB... Fantastic! This show was one of a kind, never to be replicated!
