These are my thoughts, please share yours.
51 Pride clouds our hearts and keeps us from God. The Lord has done been great things and continues to do great things. Pride makes us think that the things of god are not great or that we do not need Christ’s might hand in our life. Pride ruins our heart. He will have to scatter or knock us down because of our pride.
52 There are those of the world who view themselves as might important. He will knock them off their thrones and they will kneel before Him. We will all turn to Christ whether we do before we die and it becomes to late be up to us receiving His call.

Luke 1:51-52 has always brought to mind the adage: "Pride goeth before the fall."

Because we humans have a tendency to try to take control when the going is good, our Lord knows just how to humble us again.

The Pharisees looked for a Kingly Priest Messiah to come, full of material riches and presented in Kingly robes. They could not accept a lowly child born of a maidservant that was born in a stable. Mary was blessed of all women, not in the fact that she was better than any other women, or placed above other women like a god, but that she was blessed that God would chose a lowly maidservant such as she was.
