Luke 6:25-26King James Version (KJV)
25 Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.

26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

Luke 6:25-26 Revised Standard Version (RSV)

25 “Woe to you that are full now, for you shall hunger.
“Woe to you that laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep.
26 “Woe to you, when all men speak well of you, for so their fathers did to the false prophets.

25 We should be more concerned with be filled with the Spirit and the Word then anything this life could bring us because both last eternally. God fills our spiritually hunger. This is not saying God will make us sad but will make us see that we have so much more to be thankful for that we react in a different way.

26 Men speaking good of us is not always good because this world hates the light and for them to say good about us most likely means we are not walking in the light.

25 In agreement with what you have. Our feeling full should be Spiritually eating the Word

26 Goes along with 2 Timothy 4:3-4 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

False prophets feed into people's desires. Sometimes those desires are to spread hate. (think about it)

I think of this verse as: woe unto you who are perfectly well-adjusted, godless, and please those in and of a dark and dying world.

I always think of Jesus Christ as being subversive in any culture, because human nature is fairly constant wherever you go. The first shall become last, and the last shall become first.

Good verse, btw.

Hi Clark
I think it means,
Woe unto you who thinks you know everything, lol.
You are full, those never learning..
It reminds me of 2Kings 2-6
When she kept pouring the oil, it kept coming, when all the vessels were full, the oil stayed.
