Hello friends, please pray for me that I stop lying! I lie about little things. I had trauma when I was young, and when someone questions me, I get anxious and start lying. I hate this sin I struggle with, has caused me much embarrassment. Thank you so much for your prayers.?

Admitting our sins is the first step, so you are going in the right direction and you should take comfort in it. As for lying, it becomes a habit as you know, and then it's just the first thing you think to do, cuz it's easier at the moment than just telling the truth. Only lying gets complicated, cuz then you've got to keep up the lies, and it wears out your mind trying to keep track of things while making you feel guilty at the same time. So it just sort of grinds you down over time.

I've always been pretty honest, and I have to tell you it makes for an awfully peaceful life and a quiet spirit. No big worries about anything really. Sure there are a few things that were tough to admit to others, but when you can start building trust between yourself and others, it's a wonderful feeling. They know and accept and even still love you for who you really are, instead of who you aren't ,and you them.

I encourage you to keep going. Try little steps, like maybe confessing a few minor things here and there to others you care about. You may find out that some things weren't all that big a deal to be hiding anyway.
