Male Lactation

Uh Oh you kids woke eggnog up :smt018

I'm just curious as to how many of you men started messing with your nipples when you read the OP's post.

BTW, I don't think that a male breast feeding is in any way natural. Also, it is not known whether or not the milk is composed of the same "ingredients" as a female. The milk may not provide all needed nutrients.

Actually Nikki, when I went back to do more research, there was a medical website (the name of which is lost to me now) that tested the differences between male and female breast milk. They found that only 3 or 4 un-important enzymes were missing in the male breast milk. They also claim that it is almost identical to female breast milk and is just as nutritious to give to baby.

However, I also don't think it is natural.

Hi gals~

On that point of whether it is "natural". Doesn't the corruption of the human body's original form and intent have anything to say about what is or is not natural? After all, sin is the nature of us all, we all have a sin-nature, although believers hardily agree with the Lord that it ought to be crucified with Christ daily.

I think it is entirely possible to subjectively look at the functions of human bodies today~ and totally miss the corrupted uses and possibly even added hormonal functions not part of our Creators original design, such as male lactation. Who knows how many physical processes we see today that are undetailed in scripture, because they did not exist uhtil long after the fall? Like cancerous cells, or people born with two kinds of gentalia.

At school we discussed the latter phenomena and I was hard pressed by my classmates who agreed this was at least a sign of a third sex, if not evidence of its existance in pre-evolved humans. By the time our discussion was derailed by one man who called me a hate monger, I had given some logical argument that this was no different than any other deformity, such as being born with eight limbs. Most often half if not the majority of limbs do not even function in these cases without corrective surgery, as is often the case with duel genitalia.

I guess what I'm saying is, the facts out there to be seen are distorted already by the corruption of all humanity, which is only increasing as this dying world ages. We must be careful to take them all with "a pinch of salt" as my mom used to say.

We are the salt of the earth ... bonnie

That's a good point Bonnie.

I think that human nature can't stand to be told "no, you can't do this". We want to be free to do what we like, regardless of who it affects in the process. Stories like this one are only glimpses of what is in the hearts of man, imagine what God sees everyday and how it must grieve Him.
