Memory upgrade

Yeah I remember the Longhorn project
I believe it was Mary Jo Foley that reported they were rewriting the kernel for it, that would have removed all the trash that has accumulated since the first MS-DOS and closed all the back doors except MS's beloved DOS Hole but when Vista was such a failure because they did not pay attention to what the alpha and beta testers were telling them, they dumped the project and strapped XP to Vista and called it 7.

Not that I have noticed. Though, I am pretty sure the OS syncs the computers time to the internet.

So I do not get it wrong straight from the web, Complementary metal-oxide semiconductor, or CMOS, typically refers to a battery-powered memory chip.

It keeps your BIOS or UEFI, depending on age and setup choices, running so as to boot and to keep proper time and a million other things, especially when the unit is off.

You may have never heard of High Mem but that 640k of memory is in there and must not be turned off and the quarter size battery takes care of that also. Computers are fun and I started with a Heath Kit and might need to be corrected but I'll bet five against a donut that Lewis can do that for you, he is more up to date and I'm getting lazy.
