Men who grow beard

Not just beard alone - facial hair!

I understand that one of the reasons some men allow this stuff to grow, especially the younger people, is to send the signal: I'm matured enough....you gotta show me some respect.

Some have other good reasons: it can make a guy's profile look a lot better. Craig David (musician) has a nice one.

At the same time some faces look so horrible. You can look older. Why the need for an ancient prophet's kind of face in our modern day?

Some have religious reasons - even today.
Most ancient scientists,
Prophets,
Men etc had their faces nearly covered with hairs. Some still do.

Some are as a result of laziness (nearly all guys are lazy about it. Do some shaving). You can imagine how much lazier both men and women can be at other 'regions'. Sheer laziness

With or without hairs some faces can look good or bad.

What's the point? Is it just to get opinions on if we like the look of beards or not? If so, I'm with WIP; "Isn't beauty in the eye of the beholder?"

I hate shaving. Always have, always will. I shave once a month.......give or take...
.

Hubby grows a beard, but trims it and lets his hair also grow long (which I hate his long hair) in the winter as he works outside and it keeps his face and neck warm. He hates scarfs so I put up with it until warm weather returns and then he shaves and has his hair cut.

When I was younger I worked in the logging business in northern Minnesota. I grew my beard out every fall and shaved it in the spring. It truly helped me keep warm when the temps dropped to -20 F. to -40 F. I usually kept it somewhat trimmed but not too short.

During my last relapse mine "growed" a bit but is still trimmed neat and some of the kids have called it a Santa Beard. I don't know, I might keep it this way. It's not motorcycle long but if I were still mounted on a Hog it would fit.

I like my men better without a beard. It's tidier and you get to see more of their awesome faces. :)

Too lazy to shave.
Having gone both ways,to keep a tidy, handsome, beard is a good deal more trouble and a good deal more expensive for a tool set. Beard trimming tools are a good deal more expensive that a double edge blade.

And for an old fossil like me with the shakes, jerks and tremors of MS it is an adventure every time I turn the trimmer on. I use my trimmer just like I did my Pistol shooting. Grip firmly with both hands and assume the stance. :whirl

Yea. Tho some seem to have very weird sense of judgement

Does it take all your time? Its usually one of the problems.

Some suffer rashes when they shave
