Merry Christmas!

Yes. The moderators have it marked on their calendars, don't you?

Happy x-mas!
Cross out Christ from Christmas.

Season's Greetings!
Why don't we say that in the other 3 seasons?
Anything to x-out Christ from Christmas.

Happy Holidays!
Happy Holidays?????
We only say that at Christmas so we don't have to say the word Christ in Christmas.

See all the trouble you're causing?
I think we should just stick with the title of this thread.

The unbeliever school system has changed US culture so much that the word Christmas is no longer acceptable to many. This just illustrates how effective the unbeliever school system really is in promoting atheistic propaganda.

But 'holidays' actually means 'holy days'.
Did you know that?
Ralph knows that.

Christmas Day itself is sorta a let down. It's the getting ready for the Day that I enjoy the most.

All the gift giving and all the cookies to give, the parties, and the gingerbread house to get children to decorate.(they eat as much as they glue on but I dutifully mock scold them for eating).

It's a very wonderful time of the year when many quit focusing on themselves so much and become giving individuals. Of course we have a few bad apples who see nothing but sin in everyone else and those who take a license to sin from the season.
But oh well. All those that come across my path know too well that to me Christmas is about Christ...and I am his slave.

Is this true Reba?
You didn't have Christmas in 1789?
she was around for the first festival of lights at the temple in Jerusalem after the revolt. she was the one who ensure the olive oil was proper for lighting

I just cheered myself up this morning remembering this is the beginning of the Christmas season. You getting all ready with eager anticipation for fall, and the beginning of winter (in this hemisphere at least), Thanksgiving dinner, shopping on the internet for gifts when it's 30° outside. All for the day itself that, well, isn't as fun as all the days leading up to it. Go figure.

For some reason that just felt like a Cathy moment, so here she is....
