Pastor/Evangelist Mike DiSanza died last night at the age of 69.
He was an associate pastor at my church.
Mike got saved as a cop in New York City and God told him to stay there.
He founded International Cops for Christ.
After 22 years, he moved to Florida and started going overseas to evangelize.
In 24 years, he visited 79 countries with an enormous amount of testimonies of what God did.
His last few years of ill health restricted him from continuing overseas.
But I did get to make friends with him and I can truly say, I love the man.
In the past year or so, Mike made 48 you tubes, evangelizing worldwide.
He will be remembered forever.
Just last Tuesday at our men's prayer group, he commented, "one minute you are here and the next minute, "poof", you're in heaven in the presence of God".
Hallelujah!
I can't tell you how much I'll miss the man.

I'm sorry for your loss but Praise the Lord it is only temporary. He can't come to you but you will go to him. :)

Sorry for your loss. I didn't know you were at CFWC just up the road from me. Cool

Sorry, I thought you went to Citrus Family Worship Center in Hernando.
Maybe he did in his early days in Citrus County.
They eventually became Church of God, then Vineyard, then Calvary Chapel in Inverness.
That's where I came in.

That's neat.... Inverness in 5 miles closer to me than Hernando.

Where do you live?
Maybe we can get together for lunch or something sometime.
Well, when I said "just up the road from me" that was a bit optimistic. It's right at 100 miles. But if either of us is traveling, we can definitely arrange to meet up.

Hudson, FL alumnist here.

I have one brother in Hudson, one in Spring Hill, and one in Brooksville. Mom and Dad lived in Hudson. They're gone now. Dad died four years ago today. Old family friends of my folks live in Inverness.

Sounds like a cool dude. What's good about being in Florida is you meet a lot of very interesting people who have done lots of interesting things in their lives and who have lots of neat stories to tell. My pastor there in Hudson was a retired 700 Club TV host in Atlanta.

and wackos as well.

and wackos as well.
My oldest daughter came within seconds of being abducted in Miami. If her friends had not acted as quickly as they did, she would have been in the back of a limo headed who knows where! The Lord was with her. That was in 1990 or 91, I hate to think what it is like now.

He is only asleep until the coming of the Lord and you will be reunited with him again, amen. People get upset with me for I do not mourn the physical death of a servant of God. I rejoice that they have run the race well and now rest until the prize is given. Yes, I miss them, but know we will be together again someday. When my Grandfather passed from this life I cried like a baby for I had no understanding, but when my Grandmother passed I could not shed a tear for then I had understanding. I was very close to my Grandparents and know I will see them again free from sickness and pain. Praise the name of Jesus.
