Im not really into movies, but I have it on DVD, always enjoyed it since I saw it on television back in the 70's.

I think it's the best.
It became a tradition to watch it at Easter and Christmas with my kids.
It's a feast for the eyes,,,,the colors, the movement.
Zefferelli is a believer (Catholic) and he made good movies.
I think being a believer impacted the quality of the story....true to the bible.
Ditto for Gibson. There's a reason why he made Passion so violent. I can't even watch it.
The other Jesus movies were horrible.

Elected, I think the mini series IS the film,
but cut up because it's so long....

Robert Powell was in the Zefferelli film.
He was perfect.

It is, it was just broken up for network tv at the time.

The DVD I have is 2 discs, about 6 hours long in total.
