Finally had a few minutes to just physically/mentally/emotionally sit and take a breather a follow a few threads. Great conversations/debates. Spiritual food for thought. We have been frantically trying to make this rat's nest of a house livable. We are making slow progress. Everywhere we look, we see a mess. There were a couple of stray cats hanging around when we left 2 years ago. They are still here. Both of them recognized us. We put out food/water for them. One of them was knocking at death's door due to malnutrition. He is recovering and gaining weight.

Every good thing starts with the first step. A day at a time is all we can perceive and make the most of it. You will eventually make it. In my prayers.

praying - God bless you for being kind to helpless animals

In my book, the two main characters have a cat. In the story line the cat is a female, but the inspiration for her comes from a big male maincoon. My wife saw a dog carrying him off as the mother cat had dropped him in fear of the dog. The dog picked up the newborn kitten and was carrying it off(I guess for a snack). Ann saw this unfold and yelled at the dog. The dog dropped the kitten in a puddle of water. It had just finished raining as the last of Hurricane Ike blew through. Ann gathered up the crying and soaked kitten. The mother cat never came back so Ann took it in and bottle fed it. She named him Ike. The stray that comes around looks like a younger smaller version of Ike so she calls him Junior. Junior has a chronic infection in one ear. If my book sells, I want to take part of any money it makes to have his ear operated on. The vet said he needs an operation. The ear constantly drains and bleeds.

o wow - supporting you in prayer and the cat also - i've prayed for animals that were dying or in pain and God healed them

an old dog that wouldn't eat and the owners said was dying - i pretended i was petting her but really i was praying for her - after i prayed she got up and started eating - the owners were amazed - she lived

a little dog had an injured leg from being hit by a car - i layed hands on his leg and prayed and the little guy whimpered softly while i was praying and then after prayer he got up and scampered away - no longer limping
