Morally bad leaders

I'll try as much as possible not to sound too harsh here. There are some people occupying some sensitive positions in the churches, places etc. Some are Assistants, some are leaders - the rest hold other sensitive positions.

How should we deal with these people full of vice. Should we take the mantle of leadership away from them? I'm talking about people who are complacent with their orders - or in fact, this should be about people who have vile characters - and who seem not to know they have such characters. I'm not trying to sound harsh. Some people are naturally like this, so autocratic, unforgiving, full of complaints etc. They may not know they are like this. (Sorrrrrry if I'm sounding harsh)

So, should we just avoid them, and obey whatever they tell you (since they can't change...they are just like that, kind of)? Believe me, the presence of such leaders can make someone not to join a group in the church or wherever.

Seems i remember from one of Pauls writings that we are to take the jerks to the church group call them on their sins if they dont repent shun them... Now that i have written the words i muct go find the passages .

When you want to enjoy a fruit if it has a bad spot you cut it out...

<DIR>2Th 3:6 Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

<DIR>1Co 5:1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.
1Co 5:2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
1Co 5:3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,
1Co 5:4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
1Co 5:5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
1Co 5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
1Co 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
1Co 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
1Co 5:9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
1Co 5:10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.
1Co 5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
1Co 5:12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
1Co 5:13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

<DIR>Gal 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

I am still looking for the passage about telling brother he has a problem if that dont work take a witness and tell him again if that dont work bring him befor the bodly....

Well it was not Paul these are the words of our Lord...

Mat 18:15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
Mat 18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
Mat 18:17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

I'm very grateful for your reply. You see, we have been battling with similar issues. A member has been a big headache for over 20 years now. No serious measures taken yet:sad

We are going to have a meeting soon on this particular issue. I just wonder what will happen after it. Would we remain puppets?
