Your question relates to the English language.

The way the Lord Jesus' way of addressing His mother in the Gospels is a translation from Greek; the Lord Himself was probably using Aramaic.

So I think, if your question obliquely refers to Scripture (and I'm not sure it does), it's a matter of apples and oranges.

this is why it is required of us not to just read the Bible but to study it - imho it is the context that is important not really the language etc - twinc
