Jesus used the term "woman" when speaking to other women as well (Matt. 15:28; Luke 22:57; John 4:21). Woman was a term of respect. It is like "Madam" today.
Not if you consider Matt. 12:48-50; Mark 3:33-35; Luke 8:21.
Jesus made it clear that spiritual kinship is not determined by blood or race but by obedience to God.;)
There are a couple of reasons Jesus addressed Mary as "woman". First, what else would He call her? He created her, so she is His creation, His daughter, but she gave birth to Him, so she is His mother. What other word fits?
Secondly, and most importantly, Jesus was trying to point out that He was the "new Adam", as Paul called Him (I Cor. 15:45-49), by recalling in the Jewish mind the story of Adam and Eve. Mary is the "new Eve", which is why He called her "woman". There is quite a striking parallel:
"Eve, the first woman, was a virgin at the time that she was tempted by the serpent in the garden. Thus, Eve, a virgin, conceived disobedience and death, whereas, Mary, a virgin, conceived the Word in obedience and brought forth Life"
