[__ Prayer __] My attitude

I have been practicing the same habit and have noticed due to constant trauma I've become relatively hopeless and depressed, and I'm noticing that I am becoming bitter. I have started therapy to help pull me out of this. Another thing I am doing to try to shift my thinking is to clear my home of anything that does not bring me joy in any way. Praying for you that things will shift in a positive direction.

I must admit that I'm a little confused why this in the prayer section, but perhaps we can all pray to become better and stronger people and the kind of people that God wants us to be so it will fit.

hi. I"m sorry about this. being too hard on yourself is probably only going to drag you down further. besides...not everybody is happy all the time, wears a smile all that time, etc. I'm not saying its OK to indulge in all kinds of pointless sadness, just...human beings are fairly complex, and somethings just...are. "It is what it is"--one of the most profound Southern expressions ever, lol.

Seriously, though; I'm beginning to think there's no really right way to -feel-, you know? Scripture says to rejoice in each new day and be glad in it, but I don't think He means whitened teeth, perfectly styled hair Gameshow host "happy."

Anyway...you're in my prayers. :-)

I wasn't saying being happy when it's a season to mourn. A loss of a loved one it's ok to mourn.

Keeping your struggle in my prayers. I know you probably have a lot going on inside, and have mentioned that their only really understood by another soldier who's been through them. So for whatever you have I'll hope God will help you out.
