I am trying to figure out what to do for highschool. I am currently home schooled and I might do that for highschool, but I might be able to play highschool baseball if I go to public school. I could probably get a better education homeschooling. Please pray that I will make the right decision.

I'm praying for you. God will watch over your path, ask Him to make the right decision for you. :)

Net,

I agree with Zentihx almost completely...all but number 5 in his recommendations. I will pray for you as you decide. You stated that you knew home education would provide you a better education. You are right. Baseball can be pursued at a local community center or something. Though I love baseball too, education is going to be what really matters and makes a difference in your life.

Just remember that home education isn't for everyone. That's coming from someone that homeschooled too. I loved homeschooling, but I knew it was in the best interest of my kids to send them to public school. My youngest learns MUCH BETTER with someone else. She's so dang stubborn and gives up too easily with me or my hubby. Bring someone else in though and she's like a different kid. And I was doing the same things her current teacher is doing. She's just stubborn like her daddy.

I think I'll be sending them to a charter school once they hit the middle grades though. The charter school is big on parent participation and even has parents doing janitorial work. Parents ARE the school. That's how it is at my kids current public school and I love the fact that I can go in without notice and help out or just spend the day monitoring my child.

Net,

I'm not sure about the homeschooling laws in your area, but if you DO go to public school and decide that you don't like it, can you withdrawl and resume homeschooling? My best friends sister was homeschooled all the way until high school. She decided she wanted to go to public school and so far she's loving it. She's a Christian and it's hard for her at times because of all the UN-believers. But she's strong and is a good witness. That's why I think it's important for Christians to be in public school. They can either backslide or they can be great witnesses and make UN-believers BELIEVERS!
