[__ Prayer __] my job vs retirement (God's plan)

HI, I got myself into a tizzy over something at work and put in for retirement at my job. It will still work out since I can do it, but I do wonder if I should not have done that. So, the prayer is, if it fits in with the Lord's plan, may the Lord motivate them to allow me to come back. If so, I'll follow his plan even though I don't 'really' want to go back, but will if should be done.

May God show you the right path to take. For the things we do that will bring glory to the Lord He will honor it.

Update: well they did ask me to come back as a temp for a special project, so it sounds like they will take me back. In regards to the concern I gave them when retiring, they gave me the "its a temporary thing". So i'm a little confused and mad they still don't get it, but maybe i can put Retirement off for about 8 months or so. So, I'll have to go back to the Lord to see what he is indicating. I just wish they'd give me the increase I think I need for the extra work and be done with this. So thanks all for prayers so far. I'll be ok either way.

When we do something our whole life and then we decide to “retire” there are many issues we may face.

You identity can be attached to what you have done at your work in which an emotional bond is there.


Usually it takes a lifetime to prepare for what God has for us to do for Him.
