no wonder why. That car with few execptions has problems, we have the counterpart called the mercury sable and also the Ford taurus. The later we call the terrorist. I'm talking about where i work.

Fun getting that alternator out , I think its below the p/s pump on the 3.0l

I had 2 Mecury Sable station wagons they come in 3.1's and 3.8's those are 8 cylinders. My car is a 4 cylinder, and it is so cold up here, until I might pay someone to do it.

3.8 a v8? 3.0 is definelty a six. I used to be a ford man, i do own a ranger. I used it when my nissan breaks down. i usually fix that quickly, you have the 2.0 or he 2.2 mazda that is used now in the early Focus.

Opps my mistake, I should have said six got things on my mind, I had 2 of them and they both were 3.8's

Oh and Jason, my alt is right at the top front of my engine, man what a blessing, but I am going to let it sit for a week and next Friday I will buy all the parts that the thing needs.

what size is the engine?. You should try to replace the hoses that ford does make anymore for my ranger.I have to take off the intake manifold to get the back of the engine to cut the hoses off with a dremel and rigged a replacement one. It's been a year it has held.

I am going to inspect the vacum hoses, the water hoses looks good.
