Navy Rules for Gunfighting

Send in the Marines.
why does the navy have marines in the first place?

A "marine" is a soldier in the navy. Having soldiers that they can depend on, without needing army approval, makes the navy more efficient.

Humorously enough, the Navy has an army. The Navy's army has an air force. And the Navy's army's air force actually has its own aircraft carriers.

The Air Force has an army, and the Army has an air force, although they won't admit it. The Air Force used to have a navy, but President Eisenhower put a stop to it.

During the American Revolution, the Army had a navy, but Thomas Jefferson started the Navy as a separate service.

i know that, that is a joke, the answer involves livestock.

that army started the air corps later the airforce. the army itself has ships. two in fact for resupply. in fact we ten of those.

the army also has divers

marines(means near the sea).
the coast guard was left out.

Having an uncle who I deeply respect who flew copters in Viet Nam and retired a Colonel in the Marines, my POV is a little biased. I respect them all, but I grew up with great regard for the USMC.

Actually, it wasn't a joke. The Navy has more than one army, and their biggest army is the Marine Corps. The Marine Corps has its own air force. The Marine Air Force actually has a few carriers of their own, although the carriers are part of the Navy and manned by sailors.

John Paul Jones is a great American naval hero of the Revolution. But the new US did not have a navy. The US Army had some ships, however.

During the 1950's the US Air Force had a series of satellite tracking stations that ran down the Caribbean, but the series couldn't track far enough. The Air Force procured two surplus WW2 Navy ships and converted them to tracking stations. When Eisenhower was President, that was one of his reasons for forming NASA and moving all the space development into one department.

what i said was, the navy has marines cause sheep would be obvious.
