Well, it's almost here. Certainly, the Nevada Wolf Pack, Iowa State Cyclones, and Iowa Hawkeyes have to be favored.

Well, it looks like the Hawkeyes are out of it before it even started.

And now the Wolf Pack are out unless by some miracle they are given an at-large berth.

I'm not much into the Men's tournament, because I'm not much of a basketball fan. But I do have a rooting interest in the Women's brackets! Below is a picture we took after the first game of round 1 in Bowling Green, Ohio.

My niece plays for #1 ranked Baylor, and this is her final year. She's the one on the left. There are our three children. And there is the best player in women's basketball, Britney Griner... all 6 foot, 8 inches of her. She is amazing. To put this in perspective, my son is 5' 9". Lindsay (my niece) is 5' 10", and then there's Britney. :o

GO BAYLOR!!!

I hope you have Britney's autograph.

I have allegience to Middle Tennessee, Kent State, UMass, Northern Illinois and James Madison. Obviously, I had a little hope but it was all for nothing! Both in the Men's and women's tourney's. I follow them equally.

Truthfully, with basketball, I'd like to see the NBA like it was when I grew up in the late 70's and early 80's. I miss Dr. J, Elvin Hayes, Kareem, Magic, and the Bucks of Milwaulkee! That's basketball I could love.

There are so many tournaments now: NIT, College Basketball Invitational, CollegeInsider.Com.

I miss Bob Petit, Oscar Robertson, Bill Russell, Bob Cousey, Don Nelson, and Wilt Chamberlain.

Clearly, Kansas will be the next champion.

I drove through Kansas once. It was so foggy I couldn't see a thing.

This was a boring tournament, IMO. Hardly any real Cinderella teams making it deep, and having to endure Calipari trucking his way through. He just seems shady to me. It's only speculation. Likely anyone with a top program bends the rules a little bit at least.

The real champion will be crowned tonight.
