I feel God leading me to go to church, but I need someone to go with me. My illness will ruin my experience. I don't mean to sound negative but its true.

So, may I ask for your prayers that God will bring someone into my life, preferably a woman, that I can go to church with.

Thanks.

Angel

Done, but keep in mind that if you have Yeshua/Jesus, he is always with you, even in church. He can also heal you of whatever illness you have. Go with Yeshua and he may provide a companion from whatever church he leads you to.

Angel,
I'd like to make a suggestion.

What if you only stayed for part of the service?
Find a nice church that you like and where you feel you are in agreement with the doctrine taught there. (no church will be perfect).

If you like the singing, go only for the singing. If you like the preaching, go only for the preaching, etc.
Take it a bit at a time, and then you'll see where things go. If you could proceed, fine - and if not, God knows everything and whatever you can do is better than not going to any church at all.

AND, it just could be that you'll make a nice friend in church!

Wondering

I will pray about what you said, wondering
Won't you come to church with me? ;)

Yeah. Don't think I wouldn't!
Plus, maybe I could find one I actually like there by you...
Too many miles in between though...

I'll pray. I've been there, too. I had a counselor when I was out of state who also pastored a church. So, I went to his church and one day, some girl in her late teens was talking about me "living off welfare" and such. I was actually being supported by my parents, but...OK.

Not all churches are all that great. Not all church goers are any different from the rest of society.

Having said that, I pray you'll find someone to go to church with you.
