I'm sure Winkey Pratney's classic '70s training manual for Youth With A Mission - http://www.ywam.org - used the personalities of the 12 disciples to make similar plea for spiritual maturity, to edify the faith of all towards what Paul delightfully called 'the full stature of the measure of Christ'
Meanwhile, this new Greg Pyke book has had my mind singing a kinda 21st century remix of a '60s hit..

I've 2/3 times endorsed the message preached by Italian evangelist Ennio in Bootle last Sunday - he's in London this Sunday & maybe for a few weeks
But when he read how Jesus said, 'If My kingdom were of this world, then would My servants fight', my mind sang a Bob Dylan classic...
