Hi everyone, I'd like to request prayer for me to get through the work day. I haven't taken my daily meds in a couple days, and the moment I stepped into work I was hit with very high anxiety. This isn't a confidence issue or something I'm able to control, it's a bunch of physical symptoms that hit me for no apparent reason and they tend to be very debilitating without medication.
I do have some hydroxyzine I can take as soon as I get a drink to down it with.

Thanks. Have taken two hydroxyzine (can take one more if needed). Have one of my fidget toys in hand constantly. Seems to help a bit. I'm running the front end and supervising today, so I can't just retreat. I am trying to not interact with customers too much unless I have to, trying to appear busy arranging items on the shelves and stuff.

I'm not even actually scared of anything. I'm just shaking and panicking. Why am I shaking and panicking? Heck if I know

Yes, but also.... I don't know that another job that's available here would be better. Almost everything that IS available in my area is customer service, unless you have a degree or something so that you can work on the military base or you happen to snag a post office position.
My current job is as close to ideal as you can get for a customer service job, imo. The boss is a good boss, the coworkers are friendly, and most of the customers are pleasant. (Even though their friendliness actually makes my anxiety worse when I'm not having a good anxiety day, but they have no way of knowing that.)

If I were to switch to another job, I have no way of knowing if the work environment would be as good as what I currently have. And I don't think I can handle a job with a bad work environment.

All that said. I got through the day, even though the first hour or so was extremely rough and I wasn't sure if I would make it without requesting to go home early. I think I had an actual panic attack, too.
