New ABC Docudrama Blames Clinton For 9/11

Actually, I heard that Bush is critisized in the "docudrama" also. Does that make it better for you?
I would rather it be truthful than dramatic. There are way too many conspiracy theories and distrust in the government to afford changing history for entertainment. Over time more dramatic license can be added, but I think that they should try to stick to the truth as much as the story allows.

Aren't you angered that Clinton is on a campaign to take away our free speech?
Not all speech is protected. Slander, libel, copyright infringemnent, stealing national secrets amd starting panics in crowds are not protected. It seems that Clinton is trying to stop slander.

Well, by your logic, Bush (who was in office 7 months prior to 9/11) did very little to prevent 9/11.

Dave... do you listen at all!

Throughout this thread, I have been stating said that many presidents are responsible for what happened on 9/11. It was a continuum of bad foreign policy. It doesn't matter what is in this movie. You just need to separate the truth from the lies, and intelligent people can do this.

I don't mind if it is aired in its current edited form.

Clinton has the right to take issue with the substance of the narrative as it is currently presented, because it is slanderous (and slander isn't protected under the 1st Amendment). He and his former administration would know if it strays from actual events. So, really, this has nothing to do with me.

I don't know of any film based on political events that hasn't been embellished.
