Felt an obligatory need to just say Hi before going any further.
I am a born again Christian. Saved nearly 7 years ago after accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.

I've not partaken in many forums thus far, but always looking to expand my horizons, and figured why not with those of like mind?

So looking forward to indulging in some thoughtful discussions.

Thanks Classik,
Can't say that i've ever been too much into soccer, I believe part of that reason lies in the fact that I still don't understand the rules.
I will watch it on tv occasionally when it's on, but don't have cable..... so it's not on often.
My daughter started to play this year.... first year, so I'm guessing I will be learning more about the rules as we go along.
I typically catch baseball and american football as my sports of choice....

Quite frankly, it's because I grew up playing it.
Although, the older I get, the less I enjoy it. I blame the players and the deteriorating social and moral values that tend to overshadow any athletic achievements.
I typically watch my team, and a few others so long as it doesn't interfere with church.

How about you, how'd you get into soccer?

That's very likely with most fans. I wonder if I'd ever get fed up with soccer - FC Barcelona. This Club changed me - freeing me from a secluded life. I used to be a from-my-stronghold-to-major-church-stuff-and-back-to-my-world. I don't think I will quit this new me.

That's politics. Corruption has crept into everything - including sports. It's getting worse. The good players rarely get elected. People who have money and are desperate for fame now dominate everything. They give their candidated what they are not qualified to have. There are great players there who don't get recognised...no matter how good they are. They don't get recognised becuase they have no one to stand for them They have no one to speak for them. The dregs can't be permanently buried.

I may be guilty here. Heaven forgive me. There was a period I had to miss church in order to watch my team play. That was on the final of Fifa Club world cup, a match between FC Barcelona and Santos. Here: the match! I felt so guilty. Not that I do it regularly: I did it just twice (or thereabout). I don't think I'd ever do that again. And thank God Spanish Leage (La Liga) is usually played on weekends (at night) or on Wednessdays. It is usually latenight stuff

It happened miraculously. How I got into soccer? Wow!!! I used to run away from anything sports until I discovered Barça. My friend's passion for it motivated me. And I'm glad to be in the right place, Barcelona FC - the darling club. The club changed my life. God did it (frankly).Today my family and friends are happy for me....always saying: so you can really be this enthusiastic about social activities? Keep it up - and do not go back that old world of your
