New to forums

I just wanted to introduce myself. I am a new Christian, and wanted to find an online forum with extraordinary individuals. I am not new to forums at all. I have moderated many, and been an administrator on others. Of course none of them pertained to my religious beliefs. I am 25-years-old, and currently live in Puerto Rico. I am orignally from Michigan, and served in the military. I have lived in PR for about 2 years now, and will be moving to Missouri in the coming months. I am a new Christian, and accepted the lord into my life about 2 years ago.

It's hard to find a good church down here since so many individuals speak Spanish; however, I am looking forward to moving back to the states, so I can find a great church to attend. I have been reading the bible almost everyday, and I am getting closer to god.

I was wondering if anyone had anything to suggest pertaining to being a better Christian. I don't swear anymore, and I try to ignore individuals who are just miserable and attempt to make me miserable. I am very open minded, and very receptive, so any comments are welcome.

I am very athletic, and come from a bodybuilding/powerlifting background, so if anyone has any questions about health, feel free to ask. My parents were sponsored athletes, so I have been around professional athletes for quite some time.

Anything else just ask, and God bless

Welcome to the forums! :wave

For better Christian living, nothing beats God's Word - the Bible! I recommend 1 Peter; it's a great place to start.
Also, grabbing yourself a good Christian living book from your local Christian bookshop can also be good about explaining what relevance the Scriptures have for us today in regards to Christian living.

I'd says before jumping into who Peter was before Christ, read the Gospel of John and then both Luke and Acts. Johngives you a good idea of who Jesus was understood to be and Luke and John sets the stage for any NT study.

Welcome to the site. If I can help in any way, feel free to PM me.

I have been to San Juan WAYYYY too many times to count. I never really wanted to go to Ponce though. The weather is always nice here, even in the winter. It's about 92 today, BRRRRR lol.

I will be moving back to the states some time soon though, back to Missouri to be closer to my daughters cousins. I will be back in the cold weather wooo.

What was the mission for anyways?
