What a crazy state the NFL is in. Who would have thought the Cowboys would be in such a bad way even before losing Romo? I'm happy about it, but I never would have thought it.
The Vikings with the never-ending Favre saga with 2 wins? That's fantastic!
The NFC North is a brutally bad division. At this point, even MY Lions have a chance at winning it if they get their act together and they start coming together with a healthy Stafford. They have a better record than the Cowboys, Bills, Panthers & Broncos, and they're tied with a host of others. As I write this, I'm getting ready to head to the game against the J-E-T-S Jets. We're feeling cautiously optimistic about this one. If they win this one, this town will explode with Lions fever like we haven't seen in well over a decade.
Road tripping with a friend to Buffalo for the game next week, so a win today will make it all the more exciting, even against a winless (as of this morning) Bills team. Times they are achangin' folks! This isn't the Lions year, but they are building a system to be relevant. At this point, that's all we want; to be relevant. And maybe soon, people won't scoff at "Lions" and "Superbowl" being used in the same sentence.
"Forward down the field, a charging team that will not yield, and when the blue and silver wave, stand and cheer the brave, RAH! RAH! RAH!! Go hard, win the game. With honor you will keep your fame. Down the field and gain, a Lions victory!! Goooooooo Lions!!!" :sing
