No Hot Water

So it's an electric water heater?

Not much you can do yourself with an electric one. If you have a voltage tester and can use it, I can walk you through checking out the unit.

Prolly a bad element. There's only 4 pieces to it, two elements, two thermo stats. It's usually the top element because the top one cycles more so wears out faster.
The landlord does not have a clue what he is doing. He wants to try to fix everything. He is probably trying to save money. He reminds me of Tim the Toolman Taylor.

NO NO ya dont Edward i told her first ...

we can split it...

IT takes a while to heat 30 to 40 gallons of water...

You remind of of Wellsfargo.

Oh man, that was low. I hate Wells Fargo. I dropped them after they ran a guys bounced check through 3 times in the same day just for the bounce fees. I wouldn't pay it.

45 minutes. You should be able to feel a little heat at the faucet within 15 minutes though.
Plus, while it first turns on, many times you can hear it if you listen close.

I flipped the switch on then off.And my check is in the mail :lol It is electric. The name on it says "President" Sears. So apparently it is a Sears water heater.

electrics are all the same. Sears is ok. Do you have a volt meter and a phillips screwdriver?

No,the flickering of the switch I did a half an hour ago did not work.

really Edward ?

Actually, there's only about a half dozen water heater manufacturers. They paint them different colors and put different tags on them. For real. :yes

The first time some does that checking she should have some one right beside her .. not over the net

Aw, is totally safe. Turn the power off at the breakers and the checks take 5 minutes and with no power on, what could go wrong? (Oh yeah, women, lol)

No really, the only possible thing could be if the breaker was mis-marked. I have had that happen, but we can check for that too. It will be a two-pole 30 amp breaker. If the breaker you tried said 30 on it, chances are real good that it's not mis marked.
