Growth No Record of our Sins

"If you Lord, should mark iniquities, O lord, who could stand?" Psalm 130:3

Aren't we thankful that God forgives and does not keep a record of our past sins no matter how grievous they may have been? "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus." (Romans 8:1) God's forgiveness then leads us to fear Him. We worship and adore Him for his grace and forgiveness causes us to love Him all the more.

What happens if we slide back into old sins? We are not a hopeless case. There is an advocate with the Father and His name is Jesus Christ. If we fall, He is there to forgive us and pick us up again.

We have two assurances: God's unfailing love--He will never leave us nor forsake us." (Heb. 13:5) And God's promise of full redemption in due time--He will redeem us from all our iniquities (Ps. 130:8) and present us before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy!

We're forgiven! We're free! With the psalmist, let's worship the Lord as we await His coming--David Roper

true, yet also don't forget, as some have tasted of the heavenlies and then turned back away from God never to reach Him again, "whosoever endures to the end will be saved" and Jesus said "if you turn back, don't think the Father will be pleased" or something along those lines.... worse still will be those who cry "Lord, Lord" and He tells them on judgment day(when it's far far too late) "be gone from Me, I never knew you." they are surprised then, or 'act' surprised, but they are not given any chance then to repent because they refused His Grace when they were still able to repent....
in some sunday classes i attended for a while, they kept saying "we are all so blessed by God, we are all so going to heaven.... " and it didn't matter who was there! they never found out...... at least not there....

Grace pardons us and mercy loves us, but grace does not give us a license to sin. God knows the intents of our heart even when we fall short at times and knows we will fall at times, but He is always there waiting for us to come back to his grace that pardons and his mercy that loves us. God forgives and forgets, but Satan loves to throw our past in our face.

true, mostly. there are also sins that lead to death, and sins that aren't forgiven, and some who are thrown in the lake of fire because they weren't forgiven. and there are a lot of warnings from Jesus and the apostles and the disciples and the prophets in scripture, as well as blessing. warnings that Jesus spoke to his disciples, not unbelievers. there is no way to take the blessings and ignore the warnings.

Show me where that is in scripture. Jesus forgives all sins.

His_nee, God forgives all our sin when we repent of them before Him. The only sin that can not be forgiven is that of blasphemy against Gods Holy Spirit, but if you are truly in Christ and He in you then you would not blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
