I was reading in the Globe magazine about how the Obama's are getting known for their wild boozing parties at the White House and their very extravagant trips to Hawaii, Spain and elsewhere. Then Shrillary Clinton's daughter Chelsea was given a wedding that cost a total of $5 million! I mean the wedding cake alone cost something like $75,000. It wasn't that they were inviting so many people to the wedding. There were only 500 guests, the likes of Barbra Streisand, Speilberg the director and so on. I don't see what's democratic about that. That's about how the Republicans would be acting.

Democratic means humble. It means the attitude that I'm no better than anyone else and no worse. That's the attitude little children have, but most of us have grown out of by the time we become adults. If we're all equal it seems to me the Social Security recipients should be getting a raise and not having their wages frozen for the third year in a row. The Congress gets automatic raises on their BIG salaries. I imagine they've gotten their BIG salaries increased in the last three years.

Jimmy Carter, Hubert Humphrey, Lyndon Johnson, John F. Kennedy were democratic Democrats, but not these modern New Democrats. It goes back to humility. It's a humble attitude that says we're all equal. Some say I'm a human being and others are goyim. Others say I'm a Catholic and others are heretics. Jesus Christ said "Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven."

1. Criminal Federal powers:

-Illegally arrest, imprison, and torture American citizens

-Loot taxpayer money for fat-cats

-Make domestic spying on US citizens legal

-Occupy an American town

2. A capitalist cabal seizes political and economic power over the nation and steals all elections by selecting candidates for both parties

All these conditions now exist in the United States!

In a free society:

-Police agencies respond only to evidence of planned and actual criminal activity.

-Police officers keep the peace; they do not investigate citizens and activities unless there is some reason to investigate.

-Police do not investigate citizens' attitudes toward the central government, only their action.

-Citizen dissent is lawful and police agencies do not investigate citizens' attitudes toward the criminal justice apparatus.

Those conditions no longer exist in the United States!

nor are there massive arrests. a few here and there but we have stopped legit terrorist cells.

Under the former 1989 Guidelines, the FBI first had to obtain evidence suggesting some kind of criminal activity before its agents could begin investigating. Under the FBI's new May 30, 2002 revised Guidelines, FBI agents are authorized to carry out "general topical research" and retain files on this research. Specifically, agents may conduct "online searches" and visit "online sites and forums as part of such research."

The new Guidelines warn against searching "for information by individuals' names or other individual identifiers," but it's okay to search by names to locate "names of authors who write on the topic" that the agent is researching. Of course every citizen of the United States is a possible "author" of e-mail messages on a variety of subjects, so all U.S. citizens are potential "terrorism suspects" under these new guidelines.

The new Guidelines now encourage the FBI to snoop around looking for people who might be suspicious, creating files on anyone who catches their fancy. Agents can now investigate people, organizations, websites, chat rooms and forums for any reason or for no reason at all. They can enter your home without a warrant and are not required to inform you that they have invaded your home if you are not present.

All the records they create in their investigations will be placed in national databases available to all agencies now under the new "Homeland Security" umbrella. Never in U.S. history has there been such a monolithic surveillance mechanism with the terrible power to destroy American citizens' lives.

The 1989 and the new 2002 Guidelines expressly state that the FBI must not launch investigations "based solely on [citizens'] activities protected by the First Amendment or on the lawful exercise of any other [federal or Constitutional] rights." Do you see your local FBI agent as having a clear enough understanding of constitutional rights to keep him from investigating people whom he identifies as having "terrorist proclivities?"

Scores of U.S. cities are now using surveillance television camera systems to spy on citizens--shades of 1984. With video cameras perched atop buildings and poles, watching whatever American are doing, do you suppose there might be some potential for abuse in such systems? uh i live near an airport and would hear those predators are quite loud, and two my job at one time was to shoot aircraft down.

and the other cameras that are on the stop lights are traffic control as they can and do overide lights

since i have done things like you claim.

the military limits ones rights
they go through your mail
they read to your e-mails and can check your online activities when you use the free internet from the military

they stop you from reading the paper
they can also tell you what you can drive(if its unsafe)
they can force you to wear safety equipment
take property from you in a school for training
not allow you as an adult and of legal age to drink alcohol
they can also punish you for relationship with peers in your plattoon or higher ranked.
they can also limit your freedom of speech(see gen mcrystal)
they can also jail your for lying if its big enough
take pay for any of these offenses
your rights are limited as a soldier in regards to juris-prudence

i think that i would know what a police state is.

No, thats the whole point. None is more hopelessly enslaved than he who thinks he is free. The military and the police have gone through the most intense conditioning. You will continue to do their work even if it comes to opening fire on American citizens. Even when it comes to seperating families and loading them on to trains to be sent to FEMA camps in the event of an "Economic Crisis" and marshal law.
