Not For Me

Men....If Christians today were allowed to have more than one wife/
would you be willing to marry them.

I would not want this. I am a very jealous woman and I prefer to have a man all for myself.

Furthermore, I don't believe a man can love two women equally although I have heard men say they love their wives and their outside women.

This to my mind would cause confusion. Her children and mine growing up in the same house. I wondered how Jacob dealt with Rebekkah and Leah.

This would not be for me...I would just have to politely refuse the offer to be a second wife...as much as I would love the man. Women would you be willing to be a second wife.

In one aspect I can remember thinking it would be difficult to love each of my children equally, but God has a great way of multiplying love where there really is no effort involved.

However, to your question, I, personally, would not want more than one wife. I am certain back in biblical days it was necessary considering the population of the earth was quite sparse, but in today's world there really is no need for it.
