Most of my family was raised in that area, a little South of you. My uncle, Raymond Geisler, had churches in Elizabethton, Johnson City, Kingsport, Mountain City, Unicoi.... and probably a few more that I don't remember. I guess Kirby's name is just one I heard of from family. (Church is about all they talk.)

I'm not sure if our churches are real similar, but I do know that the main emphasis in both is Jesus.

I would definitely like to come to the U.S. on holiday sometime. My parents went to New York on holiday and loved it, they just found it a bit pricey but our currency is weak when exchange it to the dollar.

.....and would love to visit Cape Town, I've seen pictures and it looks beautiful. I've also heard of South African lightening storms and wouldn't mind being in one.

Isn't the correct Southern term "The War between the States" or something a little less favorable to the North? Such as "the War for Southern Independence" or "the War of Northern Aggression"?

The correct Southern Terminology is that war the (blank) yankees. :blush
