Don't get me wrong, if Jesus were to call me home today I wouldn't think twice about it,.. but I'm having such a good old time down here another part of me is saying can't it wait?

But what you are having fun with here on earth are earthly things that only bring a temporary amount of happiness. In the New Jerusalem it will be an eternity of happiness, no more pain, no more tears, nor more having to put up with bullies, no more fighting against the evil of this world.

Girlfriend, I can't wait till that day comes as we will finally see Christ face to face in total paradise. :woot2:sohappy

one of the reasons so many preachers throughout the centuries have written and preached and spoken about His return is...

to promote the pursuit of holiness amongst believers. It isn't about being perfect, its about pursuing Him, loving Him, learning to obey Him, and showing a bit of Him to others, especially those still in darkness. and also...

a more thoughtful, reflective aspect of End Times preaching+writing, etc. is to understand that we really, truly do live in a fallen, sin marred world. Scripture speaks of a New Heaven -and- a New Earth, because the whole world is in need of redemption such that only Jesus Christ can provide. :-)

Who of us, if we are honest, is really ready to be with Jesus?

I am, even within my imperfections in this corruptible fleshly body as nothing is hidden from God and He knows my heart for the Lord.

Well don't get me wrong I'm excited too but it's like the song says, I wouldn't mind waiting for a little while as I have tons of things that I want to see and do down here first and I figure that life's a gift and I don't plan on wasting it. Ahoooh!!! :biggrin2

I guess at my age it becomes a different story. I would rather be in paradise with Jesus as nothing on earth could compare to that.

At some point in my life, i realized that there are only so many things to do, and so many things to try , .... experience.
And at that point, if you realize it, you then realize that beyond that point life its all one big fat redundancy.
Sure, you can repaint it, add spices to it, get a bigger one, get a faster one, get a quieter one, or add more channels, but, at some point, you look around and you realize that you've seen it all before, or owned one, or ....... = redundancy.

And this is
what makes the New Testament so non-redundant.
You can study it for 100 lifetime and you'll never get to the bottom of all its Treasure, as its deeper then deep. It is in fact bottomless RICHES and LIFE and LIGHT.
And even better, is that its not even entered into our wildest imagination "our hearts" what God has UP THERE and "waiting" for all who are born again.
We will never be bored in Heaven. We will never be at a loss for something to do that satisfies our soul COMPLETELY, for ETERNITY.
I'm looking forward to ALL THAT GOD HAS FOR ME "in Glory".
How about you?
