Hi there,

This is my first post here and I am not really sure where to post this.

Basically I would like to get input on a couple of things that I have been led to believe based on my reading of 1 Corinthians 14.

That one...the modern day Church is resistant to the Holy Spirit and two...that she allows what is considered disgraceful within her meetings.

I want to make sure that my conclusions of such are based on sound biblical reasoning and that they can't be taken as just simply my own personal opinion.

Can someone please direct me as to which part of this forum I might be able to post more details about this on so that I can get some input from other Christians?

Also how do I set instant email notification of replies to always be on? I did not see such a setting within my control panel or profile here.

Upper right hand corner click settings....

on the settings page the column on the left has "general settings' you should find the option for instant email notification there!

I'm sure you have read the scripture resist the devil and he will flee, James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

This is what happens in the Church when one resist the Holy Spirit through a carnal logic of that Spirit of God silencing his voice in the sanctuary causing the Holy Spirit to flee. I've been in services where one speaks in tongue and as many as five others give an interpretation with each one being different, but yet claimed of them it was from God. Some is done as show and some actually that of the Holy Spirit.

I've been in services where all it was for hours was worship and praise, flailing on the floor weeping and crying which would have made one without knowledge think all were insane. The Holy Spirit gives order in the sanctuary, but when it becomes of self and made a show of self than the Holy Spirit is no longer in charge. All things of God are in order for the lifting up and edification through His word, but if that word is silent then it is not of God.
